Did I listen to this pretty much all day and then swapped to reading in person, and then stayed up late to finish this? Why yes, yes I did.

This felt more addictive. I'm now going to read love on the brain as I didn't realise that was published before this.

The romance between these two in this book was quite sweet. I got a little frustrated at how he almost babied her at times. Like she can't be trusted but I found if fascinating how easily he saw through her.

Good book overall. I like the funny banter and remarks and running thoughts of the MC. I just liked The Love Hypothesis more.

The ml on the cover reminded me of Nanami Kento so I picked it up for fun. I wasn't very moved by anything in particular but it was fun with decent writing and his tattoo was ridiculous, I remember having a good laugh about that.

Very cute story. I would definitely read again. But mostly predictable.

This book, dare I say, broke the Ali hazelwood reylo trope??? Hear me out: is she tiny and quirky? Yes. Is he a literal mountain of a human? Also yes. But for me (and maybe my lack of reylo literacy is showing here) I didn’t see the resemblance beyond that? If you don’t like that Ali hazelwood writes the same book in different fonts, maybe skip this one? I however live and die in trope land, and Ms. Hazelwood provided me the food I needed.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the conflict, and I thought their relationship was super endearing. The banter??? Chefs kiss. Im always a ho for He falls first AND he falls harder in one book. I thought their argument at the end was well handled and well resolved. Loved the aro/ace rep with Greg and thought maybe we were hinting at it with Elsie??

Definitely one of my favorite rom coms od the year. Despite his tragically boring name, Jack Turner-smith is a new all
time fav mmc.
