Really enjoyed this book, great characters and plot, getting even with the bad people, and yeah, just really good!

Cliche. So, so cliche... But in a "I need a mind-numbing beach read and this is perfect" kind of way. I'm kind of happy this is a trilogy - I'll be reading the second one after I take a short break from the teenage angst.

Second time reading this. It’s a good twist on the Girl Seeks Revenge plot. It’s interesting enough to keep you hooked and leaves you hanging just enough to read the next book in the trilogy

3.5. The book was unrealistic as hell yet strangely enjoyable. It was a frothy book aimed towards girls that wasn't all about romance so that was nice. It did present some interesting dynamics between characters. I'll probably read the next one if I can find it cheap or at a library.

My word, this was addicting and entertaining! I could not put this book down. I hated certain characters, loved others...it was all just so fun to read! But is this paranormal? I can't even tell.

Can't wait to read the next one.

What a beautiful hilarious entertaining mess

What.

When I finished the book, I thought it was a standalone, but now I can see it's part of a trilogy. I didn't really get attached to anybody, and the ending was so sudden and unsatisfying that I'm not even interested in the sequel. I don't think it even qualifies as a cliffhanger, because it all happened so fast and awkwardly that I just ended up confused.

SpoilerThere's some weird subplot about Mary having paranormal powers? That really doesn't gel with the rest of the story. I was expecting a straightforward contemporary without supernatural elements, and the introduction/the role of Mary's powers at the climax was so weak that I finished up thinking she was imagining it. Nothing in the book suggested a paranormal subplot until it came out of nowhere.
