As always, a good read and sets up the characters nicely for the series

Chronologically, this is the first book in Gail Carriger's steampunk fantasy series, and it sets the scene wonderfully!
In an age of dirigibles, werewolves, vampires, and the British Empire, one has to look one's best when on a mission!

A fun little short story that gives you a bit of insight into Alessandro and Floote, as well as the Templar mission. Made me miss the Parasol Protectorate all over again.

I loved this glimpse into Alexia's father's life and adventures.

This was a short story - very short! I'd loved the series by this author, but this was just so-so for me. I listened to the audiobook, and unlike the other series, it was a male narrator for the main (there were a couple other voices in the cast) and he didn't really have an accent for the general narration (just for the speaking parts). It just didn't carry the same ambience as the other books. I might have been better off reading than listening. This featured the father of the MC in the series, and while the idea of getting a little more of a peek at his life was good, I just didn't connect with the character or the small story.

This was a cute story about Alexia's father. It was a quick, fun read.
