Really loved this series and this was fun to go back to that world. The last story really punches you in the gut, however. Is there more to come? It reads like a prologue. For sure a love letter to fans of the series, it doesn’t stand on its own.

Not exactly a flop but like. More of a flop than any other book in this series.

I would read anything MWT writes. I will never recover from The Queen’s Thief series.

A fun collection of short stories and essays about the characters and inspirations in Queen's Thief.

My cake tips: An hour was way too long for mine, I'd check at 45 minutes and add time accordingly. Crushing almonds instead of using flour gives it a little texture. Used plain yogurt instead of sour cream and it came out good, so you can probably use the cake moistening ingredient of your choice. Makes a simple but tasty almond cake. If you threw in poppyseeds and lemon zest it'd basically be a poppyseed muffin ring.
