Out of the Blue was an entertaining and engaging story. I loved the animosity and chemistry between Serena and Cope, the building tension and mystery, and the lighter, fun moments that were mixed in. This made for a really great read!

I loved Cope and Serena reuniting. I enjoyed learning about their history and how there were flashbacks intermingled within the chapters sharing it. I loved them opening up, being vulnerable, raw and real, and confronting the past. When the chemistry between them finally explodes, it was incredibly hot! Serena was a strong, outspoken, and determined woman. I loved her standing up for what she believed in. Knowing nothing about surfing or women in surfing, I found myself angry on her behalf with what she'd endured as a woman in the sport. I loved Cope, he was so protective and caring. He tended to use humor as a shield and I loved those moments he really started to open up and let his guard down.

There was a really good suspense element happening and I enjoyed all the hints as it built up. I was totally intrigued by that mystery. I liked Serena and Cope’s friends and family and how supportive they were of them. I thought there was a great pace and build to the story and thought the descriptions were picturesque. When Serena was surfing, how those scenes were described, I felt like I was right there with her, adrenaline pumping.

I absolutely enjoyed this entertaining, intriguing, and sexy story, it was a great second chance romance. I loved Serena and Cope coming back together, healing past wounds, and moving forward. This was my first time reading this author and I will definitely be reading more.

Love this book! The fact that both Cope and Serena thought the other was reckless in their chosen career just proves how much they cared for the other. They just need to communicate! And once they finally did… well worth the wait!

Wow! I am speechless. This book is EVERYTHING! Cope is strong, protective, cocky, and loving. Serena is brave, outspoken, and determined to do what’s right. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with. Four years ago, Cope and Serena had plenty of love and passion between them, but were also young and stubborn. After reconnecting, they have both grown and matured enough to realize what they lost. Not only do they rekindle their heat in the bedroom, but they’re able to be vulnerable and confront their issues head on. Turns out that when they trust and support one another, they are a powerful team. Serena and Cope battle all sorts of injustices and dangers together. All with a beautiful beach backdrop.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

I devoured Out of the Blue by Kathryn Nolan in one sitting. This is a quick paced, second chance romance that makes the reader believe that true love does exist.

Serena and Cope were both in the same surfing world until fears and miscommunication pulled them apart. These two never got over each other. When Cope becomes Serena's bodyguard his protective instinct takes over when her life is in danger. Neither of them could have predicted just how much danger they both were in. Their chemistry and respect for each other is unable to be denied.

Kathryn Nolan knows how to write a book that tackles real life issues while staying fun and sexy.

I enjoyed it. I feel like there was so much wasted time between them that a few phone calls could have helped but then we wouldn’t have had all that slow burn.

I was excited to see that she was a pro surfer who didn’t rebel against the idea of a bodyguard because that story line is so tired. She was happy to have the team looking out for her.

I think I’m personally not a huge romantic suspense person but no one is injured or killed in that part of the storyline so you should be good if you’re worried.

Thank you to That’s What She Said for a copy in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.
