First off, I really enjoyed this one. It was funny, hot, suspenseful, and still had room for some romance and action. I would have been very upset when it ended if there weren't three more books in the series and a spin-off (happy dance)

At first it was hard to tell who the bad guys were, but as the story progressed it became quite clear (although I do think there will be some team changing coming down the line).

One thing that kept running through my mind the entire time was what person in their right mind would do what Grateful did to land where she did. I mean first moving into a house on the edge of a cemetery?? (Sounds like asking for trouble.) Then staying in said house after the whole wine switching incident and meeting the resident ghosts that had you running from the house screaming bloody murder?? (You're really asking for it aren't you...) AND THEN when you see the mess (and I don't mean an actual mess) in your neighbor's house that has you passing clean out on his steps you still stay??? (Alright! You totally asked for it!!) Not to mention how she came to be in that house in the first place... Smh...

All this made for a very interesting read nevertheless (especially those sex scenes even though they were a little confusing at times... including that one part that reminded me of that scene in Scary Movie 2). I mean after all that, who wouldn't want to see what happens to her?? I'll most definitely be reading the next book in this series.

The plot and the characters were a bit inconsistent. Like the idea and the basic story. It had a feel to it that it would look good as a tv series.

Better than expected

I enjoyed this story and part of me would like to continue the series. It really was a good read. Better than I expected it to be.

I gave 4 stars not because the book is better than most but because it's simply a good and easy fun read in itself. Sure it's utterly ridiculous and possesses all manner of romance cliches but it manages to hold just enough depth and excitement to keep interest and brain cells mostly intact. Enjoyable for the few hours it takes to fly through.

Didn't like

I didn't like this book. Or the characters much though I did feel sorry for Rick for not just having to put up with her in this life time but the past ones as well. Due to the fact it just felt like she was using him for her own ends. There was some world building but definitely could be more. I won't be reading any more books by this author.

Refreshingly original, the story of Grateful Knight drags you in and keeps you wanting more. I bought this book on Barnes and Noble for 99 cents, thinking if anything it would be a good read to keep myself busy until I found something worthwhile. I was pleasantly surprised to find that from page one I was hooked.. and wanting more. It has been a while since I have found such an original plot line, and I can't wait to read book 2!

I loved this book very much, it was a great read and very addictive as soon as I finished this book I immediately bought the next one in the series. It has a lot of twists but if you like romance/new adult books this would be right up your street

...

This was an alright story. It was a freebie that I got and so it was not what I expected. It had a lot of drama, a lot of different romantic scenes, it did have a good basis idea for a story. I don't know if I will keep up with series or not.
