Miss Sinclair usually writes a red hot steamy BDSM story. Her works does not have much plot but straight to dirty things. So i was so excited to begin my journey again in I Will Not Beg.

Imagine my surprise that i do not like this book that much. I think the story is too weak and too much of the BDSM. I can not really feel the characters develop together. I do like Ethan. He is steady and enigmatic hero. His patience with Pipper is so tender that i almost can not believe he is actually a Dom.

While with Pipper,i lost. I can not really connect with her. Her transformation from victim to survivior is too fast and too confusing.

Overall i still do enjoy this book OK. The BDSM helps to keep my interest finishing the book.

Young, innocent Piper Delaney fell in love, and signed a "slave contract" with who she thought was her dream man. Years later, after being subjected to nothing but abuse, she gets the courage to leave, with encouragement from a sexy British stranger. Even more years later, Piper has built up a successful business, but she feels something is missing, so she visits the Dark Haven BDSM club, hoping to find the positive side of something she once loved. Ethan Worthington's encouraging words helped Piper find her freedom, and years later he helps her again, when she's overwhelmed and panicked at the club. Neither one are interested in a long-term relationship, but their attraction to each other is undeniable.

Cherise Sinclair does mean things to a lot of her characters before they're allowed to find true love. From abused wives and kidnapped sex slaves to lost spouses and military-induced PTSD, most of her heroes and heroines are scarred (on the inside, if not on the outside). Piper's trauma is greater than most, which is why it's so fulfilling when she finally gets the life she deserves, with a wonderful Dom who loves and supports her and a successful business of her own.

My rating is hovering between three and four stars, and I might upgrade later. I liked Piper a lot and it was interesting to see Stan and Dixon face challenges as a couple. Ethan was often (except for once) a bit too perfect. What is making me consider my upgrade is how the confrontation with Serna (and Jerry to some extent) was handled. Go Piper.

I have no idea how to start this, so I'm just going with the list.
What I liked?
-The book gives a bit of plot and a whole lot of feels (my dudes, I cried about 30% of the book and I'm just ugh...)
-How patient Ethan was.
-How Piper got back on her feet and overcomed her past.
-Piper fighting back. Goddamn, those punches were magnificent. Nothing pleases me more than seeing someone fight back.
-Churchill.
What I didn't like?
-Ethan was almost too perfect.
-Don't get me wrong, I like a good cry while reading a good book, but at some point a bitch needs her rest.
-Why are you naming a book "I Will Not Beg" and have your character beg? I understand the context is different, but still. (Lol I basically got clickbaited into reading the book)
-We spent some time dealing with Dixon and Stan's drama when we could've focused on our main leads.
-What the heck happened to Jerry? What, no beating for him?
-I absolutely do not believe that a few months with a nice Dom is enough to undo the abuse Piper was subjected to for 2 years.
Peace out.✌
