I accidentally read the Grip series first, which occurs in the same world as the Soul series, but I was still excited to read Rhyson and Kai's story. The author does a really job of describing the characters' feelings as they develop. Rhyson is an unapologetic arrogant control freak (rock star)...that falls hard and fast for Kai. Their story lasts three books, so I wouldn't recommend to someone who likes a quick read. But their story was beautiful to read. Great combination of romance and emotional hurts. I was discreetly wiping my tears away reading the last book at work because there was no way I could wait till I got home!

5 Keep Me Star’s
This Audio packs a punch, I pretty much listened straight through.. Yes I did all but 2 hrs.
Oh Wen and Kai, I freaking loved this audio. They brought these characters to life I couldn’t get enough. To be honest if I went to eye read this I probably wouldn’t have liked it as much as I liked the audio.
Kai, life really wants to push this girl down but she won’t let it. Her mother’s illness, her having to work so many jobs to make ends meet. She never once gives up on her dream though. She is determined to make it on her own. Even if that means pushing the people away that want to help her.
‘He was a flare of light that illuminated everything around me and showed my just how dull my existence had become.’ - Kai
Rhyson, doesn’t want or need the spotlight but he loves what he does. Having never had to fight for his dream he doesn’t understand that Kai need to do it on her own. He just wants to make it happen for her but what he doesn’t see is that she won’t accept it if its given to her. She needs to feel like she did it on her own that she was good enough.
‘Everything about this girl turns me inside out. Even my subconscious wants to seduce her.’ - Ryson
The struggle watching these to become friend to lovers is pretty awesome to listen to. I enjoyed this book so much that I will be going right in to book 2.
You can’t help but want to know what is going to happen with these two they are meant to be in each other’s lives whether it’s for the good or the bad.
Isn’t that what the best love stories are made of, the struggle to want and need to be with each other but for some reason something tears them apart?
*All my Reviews are 100% honest and my own.*

I absolutely loved the chemistry between Rhyson and Kai! Trying to be friends first really helped them build solid trust and compassion in an otherwise fake city/industry. I laughed every time Rhys put on a silly disguise to go see Kai at work.
Once they realized they were meant for each other, the relationship got so steamy!
The drama from Rhyson’s family added a much needed element of pain and suffering to his character. Something Kai had full knowledge of and could comfort him in a time of need. The emotional connection was gripping.
I really enjoyed the musical elements of the story, especially when Kai and Rhys performed together. It was a shared passion they could both understand. I felt like the fact that they were both striving for the same type of career helped them to understand each other better, understand their unique needs and desires when it came to their work and perfecting their craft.
But that ending though!?!? Oh Rhys, what have you done?!?

This is my first Kennedy Ryan book and I’m obsessed! Though I’m very upset at Rhyson right now
5 stars!!!
This book was basically about a girl named Kai, who has big dreams and then meets a famous muscian named Rhyson. They both became entranced with each other immediately. They both felt a strong connection they haven't with another person before. Kai has a rule not to date rockstars so she and Rhyson become friends even through all the lingering looks and touches.
I am OSESSED with this book and it's author. This book lured me in right away with it's gorgeous cover. It was love at at first sight. I've always been afraid to read a book with famous people in it, especially singers since Kellan Kyle kind of ruined them all for me. This book definitely became an exception for me.
The two main characters were just GREAT! They provided many laughs. And by the way, they have like the coolest names I've EVER seen. I liked how independent and dedicated Kai was. Rhyson wasn't like a typical rockstar which was a nice change of pace.
There was nothing that I didn't like about this book! This was a first from this author for me as well and after this I'm absolutely going to be reading more from her in the future. She had such a way with words. Such as this, "She has this wide mouth the color of fire-blasted rose petals." I found myself highlighting A LOT of lines in my ebook. I am SOO EXCITED for the second book in this series!!
This book was written in first person between both of the main characters' POV.

Oh why has it taken me so long to read this book!! I am so happy that I listened to it as an audiobook because it gave a completely different take on how I saw the characters in my head. I was already introduced to Rhyson & Kai from the Grip Series but this is their story and OMG is it amazing!! Rhyson and Kai are both super strong characters independently and together. Their push and pull throughout this story is gripping, raw, and so real, it felt like I was listening to friends telling their love story. I LOVED the narrators that voice the audiobook and I also LOVE the format in which they took of making it more like a play then just a book read into audio format. I can't WAIT to get to the rest of the books in the series!!

I was a few chapters into Grip before I checked to find out if Rhyson’s story was written. Since it was, I abandoned Grip to catch up. My Soul to Keep was so beautiful. I loved the way they developed a friendship first. It allowed them to let their guards down and get to know each other. Kai is so strong and independent, yet vulnerable and stubborn. The latter got a bit irritating. But it went along with her trust issues. Those were understandable, but still frustrating. I adored Rhyson though. The patience he gives Kai is so sexy. Not to mention the dirty talk. He has his own trust issues, which I knew from Flow. He also has this dark side that was surprising. Bristol was awful. I loved her in Flow and I hope reading this series doesn’t ruin her for me when I get back to Grip. The audiobook was read with dual narration which is my favorite. But be warned, this book ends with a cliffhanger. It’s unnecessary because there’s no way I wouldn’t read as much as I could about this couple.
