I loved Kai and Rhyson’s love story. The development of their story was everything. I really liked how strong and independent Kai was and that she stood her ground. I cannot wait to continue reading the rest of the books in the series.

I also liked the narrators of the audiobooks, they did an awesome job

4 stars,

I have read [b:Flow|31522663|Flow (Grip, #0.5)|Kennedy Ryan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1487704280l/31522663._SY75_.jpg|52207934], and the rest of the books about Grip and Bristol, so I knew some of Rhyson and Kai's story, but not too much.

I remember that Kennedy Ryan really packs a punch for her characters that you are both rooting for them to be together as well as them to focus on themselves and be stronger as individuals. I was really getting pissed at Kai for not seeing how Rhys was trying to support her, since he had an idea of what would happen when she got big. BUT I did understand that Kai needed to really experience those things first hand to see how cut throat the industry she wants to go in is.

I was feeling for Kai and Rhys the whole time, and the ending almost had me in tears as well as wanting to chuck my computer screen (since I am reading this at work) across the room! I wanted to shake both of them, they were omitting the truth from each other and that is what bothered me the most. I knew if they just were to talk about it and let each other know where they were coming from I don't think they would have blown up in the way that they did. Miscommunication my friends is my least favorite thing especially when you have dual POV and you can see both sides of the story, ugh the stress and anxiety you have during those moments of the book.

I understand both sides to this story and Kennedy Ryan really does an excellent job showing you, with the dual POV, you can't fault either character for their choices they make. UGH, but come on they were just so cute and their banter was adorable. It was like they couldn't catch a break from the beginning though, their timing was off for both parties, with Kai's mother just passing away and now Kai can officially focus on starting her career; and Rhys wanting to be with Kai as well as help her with her career the best way he thinks since he has been in this industry the longest.

Overall this book will take you on a journey, with twist and turns and up and downs that you won't be prepared for emotionally. I was just waiting for the shoe to drop on them and I will say that I am glad I am reading this series when all the books are out otherwise I don't know what I would be doing. I can't wait to see how Kai and Rhys's story continues, especially knowing that in the end they are together.

I finally got around to finishing this book and I loved it. The exceptional writing and the emotionally complex characters had me hooked from the start. Kai had the qualities of my favorite type of heroine: independent, ambitious, and tenacious. She's an aspiring singer and dancer looking for her big break in LA after a tragic loss in her small hometown. When she meets Rhyson Gray, a genius pianist turned rockstar, a collision of hearts and music ensues.

New Adult lovers—you definitely don't want to miss out on this heartfelt story!

I’m going on strike. I’m 85% into this book and I refuse to read anymore. Is this a DNF? No, it absolutely isn’t. This is self-preservation. I’ve been slowly reading the last few chapters of this book because I’m scared of the outcome, and I’m at the point where my fear has won. I will not read anymore of this book until the next installment is released. Why? Because I’m in love and I don’t want my heart broken!

I’m in love with this book. I am in love with this book. I’m in love with these two characters. I love their story, I love their connection, I love how they make me feel and I’m not ready to feel any differently. Call me a coward, I don’t give a shit. I refuse. Maybe another time I would’ve pushed through, but then maybe not. It’s been a while since I’ve just fallen (I keep on falling!...) in love with a love story. Falling and floating. All at the same time. My heart feels swollen, and I love it. But these last few chapters has it feeling constricted, like someone is tightening their grip on it, and I have a vision of it being crushed under cruel fingers and crumbling to the ground as if destroyed by an evil queen.

My Soul to Keep is the kind of romance that I love to read. It’s probably my favorite kind of romance. It’s the kind of romance that makes me feel like I’m falling in love in real time. It builds and builds and I melt and melt. Kai and Rhyson have an undeniable and irresistible chemistry that starts with a spark and grows into something completely enveloping. It’s not the type of chemistry that’s combustible, although there’s plenty of heat. No, it’s the kind that feels like a fusion, a synthesis of parts twining and coalescing until one perfect, one unique thing emerges. It’s pretty indescribable, but I think you know the feeling I’m talking about. The one that makes your chest feel warm, and like your skin is electric. So you can understand why I absolutely refuse. to. finish. this. book.

So what is this book about? Who cares what this books is about! (Read the synopsis.) It’s amazing, and sweet, and romantic, and perfect. I’m 85% in and you might be thinking, “wait, the book’s almost over and there hasn’t been any drama yet?” No, there’s been drama, but it’s minor drama. Stuff that made my heart skip a beat, but nothing that made it quiver with fear as it is now. Any major conflict has happened to the characters outside of their romance. There’s been some heartbreaking stuff, some stuff that’s made me cry, and a few scenes where I’ve wanted to punch people, but #Kaison has been safe. But this dread I’m feeling…my babies! I can’t. No. Nope.

I’m not really sure what the point of this review is, but to say that I’m really loving this book and to recommend that you read it. But you might not want to start reading it just yet. Or maybe you should if you love duets like this. Of course you could just do what I did and read some of it and run away when you start seeing cracks in the glass. Do what you want.

Ms. Ryan thrills with a book where the reader can’t help but become engrossed within the pages of this extremely emotional story. The story line is nicely paced, the characters are well defined and vivid and the story is overflowing with desire and love.
The author portrays Kai and Rhyson as believable and sexy characters that display a great depth of personality and emotion. The secondary characters are sharp and interesting and nicely support the story and the main characters.
Kai is a young ambitious dancer-singer who, six months after her mother passed away after a long illness, is grieving for her loss, working hard to pay off the high unpaid medical bills and following careful steps to make her dance dream into a reality.
Rhyson is a music and creative genius and very famous for his talent. When he first lays eyes on Kai he instantly falls in love with her. The chemistry between these two is instantaneous. Kai is very protective of her life, and she is afraid to start an erotic relationship with him. She believes that something like that would create bad gossip about boosting her career. She trusts her talent and wants to make it on her own. And so, a great friendship is born that will inevitably turn into deep love.
There are villains within the story, but Kai and Rhyson will fight hard to give their love a chance to bloom. I found this book to be almost flawless. The story flawed well. I will definitely read the next one!

Rhyson, why did you do that?!?!? This book was just full of emotions. I laughed, shed a few tears and was anxious to see where things led. All I have to say is that I need the next book. I can't say much because it will give a lot away, but this book will leave you wanting more. Especially since we get a sneak peak at the second book and that itself will make you want the second one. ;)

Thank you Kennedy for sending me an arc, I'm really looking forward to Down To My Soul.
