I read Back to Life by Dani Rene and I swear I cried through most of it. First i cried sad tears, then I cried tears of joy, then I cried because it was over and I wasn't ready to say good-bye to the amazing characters. Caleb and Kayla are strong characters who it is easy to cheer for. Their respective children add touches of humor to the moments of heartbreak and passion. It's a shorter, fast-paced, spicy romance that will grab hold of your heart and not let go.

Great anthology. What made this book so amazing, other than the authors that contributed, is that they are full length stories. You read right. These are full length stories. Not novellas. Not samples. All contributing authors are worth the read.

Definitely a must read for anyone that likes single parents stories! And even if you don’t! This anthology will definitely change your mind.

Every single story had something unique and heart grabbing. With every story you could relate to those parents. And the sexiness was just perfect.

Definitely recommended and 5 stars from me!

Back to Life- Dani René

Second chance at love and life...

These two have had tragic endings to their previously thought to be happily ever afters. Back to Life is a sweet story featuring to widowed single parents.

Whispered Prayers of a Girl- Alex Grayson

You know that time you read the blurb and said...hmm, that's gonna make me cry. But being a masochist, you decide to read it.

So when you start crying 4% in, you nod your head and think yup totally crying. Then at 15% when you start blubbering, you think it's to be expected.  Each time the tears fall, the characters steal a bigger piece of your heart. I would say that the author is amazing, but I'm too busy being snippy that she laughed at me- repeatedly. (Let me take a moment to say that though I don't know Alex Grayson, I took it upon myself to message her/call her out on Facebook for making me cry. She laughed- in case you didn't catch that. It might have had something to do with the request for eyeball wipers...to catch tears as they fall to keep from clouding my vision.  Not sure exactly...)

I will also say that the warning in the book is bull- you need two washcloths instead of tissues. They are more absorbent. One for tears and the second as back up for snot. It's not attractive or classy but believe me way better than a used box of tissues at your feet. Plus it's easier to hide the evidence of a late night sobfest. (If say your significant other kicked you out of bed for sniffling too much and you continued to read out of desperate need to know what happens.)

Don't let me whining dissuade you, it's a beautiful story. You just have to learn to let go. Learn to feel it or be totally overwhelmed by the emotions.  (That sounded good right!?!)

What you need to take away from this review:

1. Alex Grayson laughs at your tears...well at mine

2. Washcloths are more absorbent and make late night crying jags easier to hide.

3. This beautiful story has a warning- tissues are not to be overlooked. It's either tissues or washcloths- just saying.

4. Scars are tell the story of our lives. Sometimes that story isn't pretty but the life is.

5. Alex Grayson is still laughing at your tears...propbably.

6. It's hard not to fall in love with characters like these.

P.S. You will cry, unless you are a heartless individual in which case you are probably related to the laughing author.

P.P.S. I absolutely loved this book!

Wicked Truths- LA Cotton

A little taste of Wicked Bay in this novella. You may or may not remember Vin, it took an introduction to a certain stone cold Prince-ss for me to catch on! Lol. As a Wicked Bay fan, I loved the visit to "home".

It was fun to see new blood, even if its technically old blood. Vin's story is an HEA because he deserves it! (Cue the sighs and hopelessly devoted...music)

Oh man!
So many good stories!
I’m still working my way through them, I mean, there are a lot.
But each one so far has reeled me in and kept me reading when I should have been adulting.
Some are second chance, some are new loves but each one tugs on your heart strings with their beautiful little people. There is something so heartwarming about single parent romances and this anthology definitely delivers all the feels

This review is only for Resisting Rayne and I have one question...will there be more to the story later on? I really loved this short story and want to know more about Travis and Rayne.

Travis is only at his best friend's Cassidy "Stranger Shoot" because he was curious little does he know that when Rayne shows up for the photography session that they'll both feel the sparks of wanting to know a little something more about each other. But when they meet again with Riley who's Travis's son both of them want more than just a photo shoot. But will Rayne and Travis both realize that a one time meeting can be their happy ever after?

Resisting Rayne by H.L. Nighbor was a sweet romantic quick read. Travis is a single father focused on his Company and his new child until Rayne unexpectedly crashes into his life. Their attraction is instantaneous and their chemistry is electric. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a fantastic collection where you will find sweet stories, heartbreaking stories and somewhere in the middle stores which means there is something for everyone.
My favorites were:
Where Hope Ends (Life Begins) by Freya Barker
Firstly get the tissues ready you gonna need them as this really is a story that will break your heart and mend it at the same time.❤ Mika sustains a tragic and drawn out loss that almost breaks her and Jude gets a second with his daughter and fate decides to make them keep bumping into each other. You can feel the struggles Mika has and how torn she is about being around Jude and Kelty while trying to pull herself together and how Jude wants more but doesn't know how deal with it.

Boss of Me by Angel Devin
Be ready to laugh! Pippa has sass and doesn't fall for pretty boys or take any sh$t so Jude's Mum Anna decides to keep her husband sane and help Jude's career get back to where it needs to be after some serious issues with PA's. Jude and Pippa are fiery and confused by the feelings they have for each other but are also torn by their past and current issues so we are left on tender hooks to see what will happen ..oh and Anna is one cool lady I would love to meet!

When I say the line up to this, I knew I had to read it and I wasn't disappointed. I love single parent romances, it's a fun trope that can come in anything from rom-com to the more intense and angsty reads and this book had it all.

Each and every story was unique and brought something different to the book. They all gave me ALL THE FEELS and had me swooning, sobbing and laughing. Each author's style of writing was easy flowing and made it so easy to finish this in a few days.

If I had to pick a favorite? Well that's hard,... Like really hard, so I think I will pick it based on what story grabbed me most, not so much my favorite of them all because I can't pick just one. The one that grabbed my attention the most was Dani Rene's Back To Life. I love this author... ADORE HER, and she can write one hell of a story and this one was incredible. Granted it had me in tears within the first page. I don't know why it grabbed me the most, but the fact that these two main characters were both parents and both had struggled, and no matter what... They wanted to give their children the best life they possibly could, and then once they had it was their time to look for love and happiness for themselves. It was always the children above all else, and that had my heart growing... That's truly what defines a parent/s. What they are willing to give up. I was a sobbing mess.

Frey Barker's When Hope Ends Life Begins? Talk about an emotional rollercoaster and hell did it pull on my heartstrings. Mika and Jude's story was one with both heartbreak and happiness and hope. Mike needs to find herself again, bring herself back to life after losing her world, as she does this, she meets Jude and his daughter, who are struggling themselves and can't predict what the future holds for them, but after Mika comes into their lives, that all changes. This was epic. I cried, I laughed and I just couldn't get enough! She was a new author to me, and now I need to go and read the rest of her books!!

And the rest of the stories? Were just as heartfelt and swoony, and intense and amazing... As I said, this line up of authors was a must-read!

5 stars!
