I read this for my management class, and as far as business books go this one is a pretty quick and easy read with solid principles to keep in mind when working in a team.
What garbage, the scenario is so unreliable and it is poorly written
I would never normally pick up a book like this for pleasure reading. I had to read it for a class. However, this book was so well done. If there is any disunity in a team this is a very helpful book. It is specifically designed for a workplace setting but I have even applied it with my roommates.
Although this book seemed a little more geared towards corporate America, the ideas would work for any team building. I am an educator and work with a team of teachers, and the ideas in this book would support building a stronger team. Additionally, thinking of each of my classes, the same general guidance is true for each individual class as well as the collective group of students we call a team.
. I want each class to build trust in order to work and move forward together.
The premise of the book basically is that for any team to be successful, trust needs to be acquired within the team. I also thought it was powerful to read that any team will face conflict. The best teams will confront and resolve the conflict. It is very unhealthy to not address and ultimately ignore or pretend there is no conflict.
I felt this book not only addressed some of the reasons for the demise of some teams but also offered practical ideas for teams to avoid some of those pitfalls.

2.5 rounded up. Super quick listen, especially if your brain needs 1.5x speed. I appreciate how it quickly got to the point, even during the first part, where it is a story about a CEO creating a functional team in a failing tech start-up. The last part is the actual advice given to you plainly if the context of the story was lost on the reader. I think it has some decent ideas and if applied, it could assist with cohesion.
