'Liked it' seems a bit strong but it was better than ' it was ok', so 2.5* - see below for ratings breakdown.
That first chapter, super hot and really strong but it wasn't sustained. The H and h, what a pair. Drama, drama, drama. The h, made every bad decision a person could make and being a liar to boot and while the H had some sympathy from me initially, that quickly tapered off. He was supposed to be uber alpha bit instead he was uber man-child. They both needed to grow up. The whole sex club angle really didn't need to be included in the plot and came with lots of nonsense. It added little but more unecessary drama and really these two could conjure it up out of nothing.
So when it came to the rating I struggled becuase while I wasn't liking anyone but the kid, the writings good and I didn't skim bits but read it all. So starting at 5 stars, I applied or took off a star for each major issue. 1 star off each for H and h, 1 star off for the sex club plot line, 1 star off for author manipulation about secret baby, and add 1.5 stars for the writing. So 2.5* it is. I know, I know, you're all tempted to copy my sophisticated rating system but I warn you it's only works for brains like mine. ;)

This was amazing! Cameron and Ashley were so good together from the start.
I loved Cam’s personality from the first Stanton books but it seemed to change throughout the series, I’m so happy that it became what it was because I didn’t enjoy the fighter he became later in Joshua’s series.
Ashley was such a strong working single mother, doctor and student all at the same time the second time we saw her and it was so strong of her to have gone through everything that she did the way she did, not even knowing Cameron’s name at the time or feeling like she fully had the support of her parents.
I really enjoyed this story, I think this it’s one of my favourites from T. L. Smith yet.
The banter, the characters, the dialogue, everything was done really well and I loved it so much!!
