It was fun to read see a part of Something Borrowed from the opposite perspective

I read Something Borrowed, and this book for a book club and I'm so glad I continued to read this book. I've seen that there are actually six books in this series, but I'm going to pretend I didn't see that because this book wraps everything up with a nice little bow.

Did you continue reading this book to see if you reeeeally hated all of the characters in the first book, and just needed to see if they could get any worse? Same, and you'll be sorely disappointed! The amount of character growth that happened for Darcy was astounding. I didn't feel like I was reading the same characters anymore, but in the absolute best way.

The most insufferable character I've ever had the now privilege to read gets her entire life turned upside down, Fresh Prince style, and has to turn to an old friend for an adventure and a desperate wake up call. This book gives you a complete 180 life change, soul breaking heartbreak, love, adventure, and wraps everything up in a way that makes this book well worth the read of the first book. I'm super happy I read it.

I really struggled to get through this book. I feel it was a lot longer than was necessary and the nearly 200 pgs of the selfish character at the beginning made me nearly give up many times. Overall, an ok book, but I don't think I will pick up more books by this author.

Well...I didn't get a headache. honestly, I devoured this book. I enjoyed Darcy's struggle much more than I thought I would, and have to say, that, out of the two, I liked her story more than Rachel's.

Of course, I would be the one to read the sequel first without knowing. Whoops. After a friend confirmed that it would not affect my read, I continued on as is. It was quite unsure about the novel at first due to the main character, Darcy. Even though I was not a fan of her, I did not think she deserved all the things that happened to her from the previous novel, ’Something Borrowed’. Her best friend and husband-to-be left her behind and fell in love. Darcy proceeded to fall into a downward spiral of self-doubt and depression, blaming everyone else in her life besides herself. After getting pregnant from a dick-wad, she travels abroad to London to try and start a new life with an old friend, Ethan. She started out being the self-absorbed brat at the beginning of her time in London. Ethan eventually got so annoyed and broke it down which creates Darcy’s road to redemption, compassion, and true love. Indeed, this novel is quite predictable, but I still quite enjoyed it. I would totally recommend it for those room-comm lovers out there!

Something Blue

After watching Something Borrowed I was so ready to read what happens yet and it did not disappoint. Now if they could just make the sequel already I’d be one happy camper 😊

I couldn't get over the cheating, it really annoyed me that the whole series was started on that premise.

The first half of this book was even more craptastic than Something Borrowed. Why would I care one bit about a shallow, materialistic narcissist? The second half of the book redeems the first half, although it's a little hard to believe that someone would have such a drastic personality change in such a short amount of time. Why do chicks love this series so much?
