For the amount of family trauma this woman endures on every other page, the rest of the story does NOT make up for it. I’m good.

Elf Against the Wall brings the festive chaos, steamy tension, and laugh-out-loud moments you'd expect from a holiday rom-com. The quirky family drama and bad-boy-with-a-heart dynamic made for some fun scenes, and Anderson definitely brought the swoon factor with his mischievous charm.

That said, the storyline felt very similar to the first book in the series, which left me wanting something fresher. While I enjoyed the humor and holiday spirit, I was hoping for a plot that stood out a bit more and gave the characters a unique journey to their happily ever after.

If you're in the mood for a fun, spicy Christmas read with over-the-top shenanigans, this might still check the boxes for you—but I’d recommend going in with tempered expectations if you’re looking for something new from this series.

I didn't like it at all. Where to start?
Evie the MFC is a doormat, her family treats her like trash,  she is adopted and it is reminded often and emphatically about how she is not family,  she is dumb, she isn't worth it and she should be lucky to be treated like a servant by anyone in the awful Murphy family, yet she keeps saying they love her and does anything they ask. She makes bad decisions often, very impulsive in a self destructive way.

Anderson the MMC is this morose man that is handy at everything from home improvement to cake making, his past is confusing,  he mentions at one point his parents were part of a country club, then that his mom popped pills and that he was in foster care, nothing is clear he has 3 brothers maybe, he did something terrible that we NEVER find out about, but he went to jail for attempted murde and was dishonorably discharged from the military for something, we also don't know how he is out of jail so soon, he is abusive towards the main FC.

The write isn't the best, there are so many typos it took me longer to read it because I had to go back and read a bunch of sentences again to make sense of them.

It truly did feel like this book was written by a high school student for an English project that had to reach a word count.

Don't waste your time.

I think this can be a solid 3.

I did read it quickly but had problems with Anderson as a MMC. He basically never talked to her in a manner to endear himself to her in public or private.. so I don't really understand the switch to lovers vibe.

Apologies were accepted a little too easily for me. And the smut was um.. eye opening. Do with that what you will haha

Warning: This review contains spoilers.

Elf Against the Wall is a carbon copy of Good Elf Gone Wrong. Same plot, same toxic family, same “misfit” FMC same morally grey MMC (except in this book he’s just a bully). A great number of characters and scenes in the book are also identical .
Same partying Grandmother, same uptight unlovable Grandmother. Same bar fight. Everything the same. It’s a lazy effort by the author and not worth the time or money. Instead read Good Elf Gone Wrong. I gave that 4 stars because it is a fun, spicy read. No point in reading the same story twice.
