DNF due to the completely inappropriate use of a racial slur. Using this particular term in the context of this book and narrative made zero sense, by both the character who spoke it and by the author herself. I can't imagine I would ever want to read another book in this series or by this author again.

Another amazing book, such a great and addiction read! Loved the deepening of their relationship and everything that happened!

This was a really fantastic book! So glad to be back in this world, can't wait to read more!

A very good audiobook production by graphic audio, with different actors that really got into their roles and special effects that added suspense and extra emotion to the story.

In the previous book we get introduced to many different characters, both good and bad, and some threads remained loose after the events that transpired there. The story continues and some of those loose threads are tied up, while the big bad remains to cause trouble for another day.

For the first part of the book I found it very hard to get into the story for some reason. Perhaps it was the way it started, with the scenes from the demon's point of view that I wasn't thrilled about, or maybe it was just bad timing, but I just didn't care all that much about what was happening.

Thankfully that changed after a point, and the story picked up and with things taking an unexpected turn, my interest was piqued and I liked the second part a lot more.

I'm curious to see what happens next, especially between Cullen and the colorful Cynna, whose chemistry is obvious and their banter thoroughly enjoyable.

Hope they wont go to hell again. I was bored and confused for a while

3.5 stars...but on the higher end.

Former police officer, Lily Yu has a lot on her plate. She has to attend her sister’s wedding, deal with her grandma’s impromptu decision to visit China, and find a missing magical staff. She also has a lot to deal with when it comes to her lover, Rule Turner, who she is bound to for life, against both of their wills, and despite the fact that they barely know each other. This really gets to Lily, who really just wants some modicum of control over the situation, but is left to sink or swim. This book was much better than the first one. I enjoyed the dynamic between Lily and Rule and their struggle to get to know each other while feeding into the pull generated by their connection. I also enjoyed getting to know more about Cullen. Also, I really enjoy Lily’s grandmother’s character and I have the feeling that I will like her more as the books go on

I am so glad I discovered this series, although I dont really remember how I came across it.

In the first book I was just so impressed by the relationship between Rule and Lily that I really didnt care about the story at all. Not that it was bad, I was just too distracted by Rule and Lily's hotness to care. In this one I think the story was much more interesting. Enough for me to notice. :P It was still a tad confusing, but there was lots of great action including a scene where 8 werewolves turn in the middle of the city and dash off to save Lily, while bystanders gape. It was an awesome scene. There wasnt as much of Lily and Rule together, and only one inexplicit sex scene, so it was a bit of a trade off. But they have grown closer together emotionally, which I knew they would and I love how the book ended. It was a great place to leave us. :) Cant wait to read [b:Blood Lines|614780|Blood Lines (World of the Lupi, #3)|Eileen Wilks|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1307218418s/614780.jpg|601221]!

The world Eileen Wilkes has created unfolds to greater complexity in this, the second book in this series. Sadly for me it wasn't as good as the first one but still very worth the read. This book had quite an intricate plot line and ended very unexpectedly - which was a surprise in a genre that's usually very predictable. It was one of those books that split into two threads and I loved one but didn't care for the other. The reasoning behind the two threads was fascinating and unique, but in practice, I just kept wishing it would go back to the thread I liked. It is the 2nd in the series so don't pick it up if you haven't read the first or you will never make it through. By the end I would say I get most of it but it is still a bit fuzzy. I am hoping as the series goes on there will be a reason for having to put the characters through this book but we shall see.
