Serkan Türk'ün Edebiyat Burada kanalındaki bu kitap hakkında olan videosunu izledikten sonra okumaya karar verdim. Kitaplığımda vardı aslında ama sırasını bekliyordu. Gerçek bir sabrın öyküsü Günler Aylar Yıllar. İçinde sembolizm barındıran, okuyanı içine çeken ve iç acıtan bir öykü. Yaşatmaya çalıştığımız umut için kendimizi feda edebileceğimiz; yollarda kurtlarla, farelerle karşılaşsak bile devam edeceğimizin bir kanıtı. Yazarla da çevirmenle de yeni tanıştım, ikisi de harika bir iş çıkarmış bence. Çok severek okudum.

Là tác phẩm có phần đặc biệt so với những trước tác khác xoáy sâu vào trong hiện thực đen tối của Diêm Liên Khoa, Ngày tháng năm theo nghĩa đơn giả là bản tụng ca sức sống phi pham của chính con người, trong cuộc đương đầu số phận, làm chủ thiên nhiên; thế nhưng bằng tính hoang đường ẩn đằng sau đó cũng như thể loại thần thoại – ngụ ngôn, nó còn cho thấy bản tính nhỏ nhen, luôn luôn toan tính và đưa chính mình vào trong trung tâm, kéo dài sát na tưởng là hiển nhiên. Một tác phẩm đa tầng, đa nghĩa được viết với văn phong giản dị, giễu nhại nhưng lại hàm chứa rất nhiều tầng nghĩa trong mỗi góc nhìn, Ngày tháng năm đã tạo ra được phản ảnh của mỗi con người, để rồi nhận ra chính ta cũng là Sisyphus đáng thương.

Herkes dolu dolu övmüş zaten; isterdim ki biraz da gıcıklık yapıp abartmışlar diyebileyim, belki bir tartışma çıkarabileyim ama benim de ucundan kenarından tutup da olmamış diyeceğim pek bir tarafı yok Günler Aylar Yıllar'ın. Yan Lianke sanki bir köy söylencesini alıp içine biraz büyülü gerçekçilik, biraz aksiyon, bolca da edebi lezzet katıp kısacık ama başıyla sonuyla çok tatmin edici bir hikaye çıkarmış ortaya.
Yer yer gülümsetse de üzücü bir hikaye bu, Yu Hua gibi Lianke de Çin'in kuraklık, yoksulluk dolu tarihini yumuşatmadan, yaşlı adamın yaşadıklarını içimize işleyerek anlatıyor. Aynı zamanda hikayenin hızlanıp yavaşlamasıyla, gerginlikleriyle, iki başkarakterin aralarındaki muhteşem ilişkiyle oldukça da sinematik,okuru kendine bağlayan, bitirdikten sonra bir film izlemişim gibi gözümde canlandırabildiğim bir kitap Günler Aylar Yıllar.
Ufak bir eleştirim belki anlatımın zaman zaman çok yavaşlaması olabilir. Muhtemelen bilinçli bir yazar tercihi bu ama akışı hafif de olsa sekteye uğratıyordu bence. Erdem Kurtuldu'nun çevirisini ise yeterince övmem mümkün değil, Çin edebiyatını onun aracılığıyla okuyabildiğimiz için çok şanslı okurlarız gerçekten.

Enjoyed reading so much. The first story was my favorite, super sad but really lovely. Imagery was beautiful: the sun dripping off the roof and the footsteps of the incoming night. The weather and heat felt just as alive as the rats and just as threatening.

the first story reminded me of "the old man and the sea," with an old man attempting to do something impossible by convincing himself of future bounty, with tragic results; and the second story was clearly satire of SOMETHING, but I don't know what, so yo me it was just disturbing and tragic.
tl;dr: I did not really understand either of these stories and found them hard to get through.

Genel olarak hoşuma gitti fakat yer yer bunaldığımı fark ettim. Çin Edebiyatı'na çok hakim değilim, daha önce Liu Cixin okudum ve çok severim kendilerini. Fakat Cixin bilim-kurgu türünde yazdığı için Lianke'den çok farklı.
Kitap yaşlı bir adam, kör bir köpek ve bir mısır fidesi üstünden gidiyor desem abartı olmaz çünkü ana tema Jack London'ın da çok işlediği hayatta kalma ve aynı zamanda insan ile doğa arasındaki mücadele. Kuraklık zamanı her şeye rağmen hayata tutunmaya çalışan birisinin öyküsünü okuyoruz. Şu sıralar hayatımda bu kadar yürek burkan bir kitaba ihtiyacım yokmuş açıkçası. Bu da kitapla olan izlenimimi etkiledi tabi ki. Çince bilsem ana dilinde okumayı çok isterdim. Hemingway, Melville veya London gibi yazarları seviyorsanız hoşunuza gidecek bir yazar ve kitap.

This is two novellas and I didnt yet read the second. The first is an absolutely elegant gem the writing the story the one character The Elder. If you appreciate elegant writing and almost mythical this is something to read. I didnt read the second as I have all these books available and I wanted to move onto the next book.

yüksekçe bir yere çıkıp ÇİN EDEBİYATIIIIIIIIII diye bağırmak istiyorum. geçen sene eylül-ekim arasında okuduğum yaşam ve ölüm yorgunu'nu soran sormayan herkese övmekten telef oldum derken yan lianke'yle tanıştım. çevirmeni sayesinde tanıştım aslında. mo yan çevirisini çok beğendiğim erdem kurtuldu, bu sene günler aylar yıllar'la talat sait halman çeviri ödülünü alınca kitaba olan ilgim binlerce defa arttı tabi. halihazırda okuduğum kitapla aramız limoni olunca dün akşam bu kitaba bir göz atayım dedim. bugün öğleden sonra adeta mıhlandım yerime ve bir oturuşta bitti. erdem beyi bir de bu kitaptaki çevirisi için övüp sonra hikayeye geçmek istiyorum. yahu bu ne kadar güzel bir çeviridir. akıcı, kusursuz, doğal; sanki türkçe yazılmış gibi. ben zaman bulabilirsem diğer aday kitapları da okumak istiyorum ama erdem kurtuldu, aldığı ödülü sonuna kadar hak ediyor.

sayesinde güzel bir pazar günü geçirdim, üstüne arkadaşlarımı okusunlar diye darlayacağım yeni bir favori romanım oldu. eheh.

Yan Lianke works are not for me. This is my second shot at his book. I picked up because of its interesting cover and the slim size. This is a fable of an old man and a blind dog's quest for survival in a famine-ravished Chinese landscape. Not withstanding the detailed imagery of the landscape and the gory survival tale, the writing approach felt cold. Although I did get the overall allegorical nature of the tale, its emotional core remained distant.
