I laughed at the end line about not forgetting his enemies. I'm not sure what I expected here, but ended up with informative rage reading. This is a well put together book that is heartbreaking in its descriptions of inhumane liberties taken with patients across various studies.

I started this book with close to no knowledge of the subject. The writing is compelling and clear, and the case studies enlightening. An eye opening and highly readable book. Like I imagine many will feel after reading this book, I finished it wanting a clearer answer on how we might fix things but also an appreciation for why that may not be easy to do.

Different subject than I’d thought (good writing though!)

The subject matter was interesting. I learned about new things. I don’t feel like there were any good takeaways. At times it felt like a pity party, and if anything it felt like it was discouraging people from becoming whistleblowers. It was good to get an unfiltered look at how whistleblowing can ruin the whistleblower’s life and not everyone feels positively in the end.
