This story follows Julie who believes Sean is the one for him and will do anything to make him fall her. The story was fun, and I enjoyed reading from this psychopath’s perspective. Yes, this would be awful in real life but the story was like watching a movie. As much as the story was interesting, I did wish the pacing were the same throughout the book. This book jumps through different times of the year it explaining Julie and what she has done in the past. One thing I absolutely hated was animal cruelty throughout this book. I was that was skipped. This book is from Julie’s pov.
Julie is the FMC who is 49 with a boring job but a crazy mind. I had fun reading her story and don’t expect to see a development or a way to connect with her. Then we have Sean, who is in a relationship that makes Julie mad. As Sean is younger, I enjoyed seeing the different viewpoints of life from both characters’ eyes. There are other side characters, but none who played such major roles. This book is not classified as romance since it’s one-sided and follows a psychopath.
The ending was great, and overall this was a pretty great book. This book is classified as a dark humor but I wouldn’t consider it humorous, but for sure dark. If leaning toward dark humor that would be like Butcher and Blackbird. This book was more like You. I recommend checking out this book if you want a dark mystery/thriller book.

Julie Tudor is 49 with a job she loves and a man, Sean (25), who she loves anymore. The problem is, he thinks he's in love with someone else. Thankfully, Julie has dealt with issues like this before and will stop at nothing for them to be together happily.
JULIE TUDOR IS NOT A PSYCHOPATH by Jennifer Holdich is such a strong debut! Our main girl is middle-aged, unhinged, and an absolute riot to read about.
This book hooked me in from the start and Julie continued to surprise (and shock) me from one page to the next. The psychopathic behavior coming from this woman is truly astounding 😂
Pick this one up for the fast pace and a main character you may or may not want to get her happy ending!

What a crazy read! A stream of consciousness read from the POV of a totally clueless psychopath, stalker, and serial killer, so entertaining! The plot is solid, the characters are well-written, and the pacing is steady. I wish the storyline had been a tad more intense and less predictable, but it fits with the voice of the narrative. Definitely a fun read, recommend checking it out!
This debut novel is a fast, quirky ride with a wildly unreliable narrator at the wheel. Julie Tudor may say she’s not a psychopath, but her choices (and inner monologue) might suggest otherwise. Think chaotic good meets deeply unhinged—and somehow, still charming.
It’s a fun, propulsive read with dark humor and a twist of danger, though I found some of the plot beats a bit repetitive. Still, as a debut, it shows promise—and I’ll definitely be watching to see what Jennifer Holdich writes next!
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book, all opinions expressed are my own.

What a funny read. Never annotating so much in my life. Julie's personality lol, she made me laugh so much. Oh Sean what a clueless fool.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 3.5 stars
Synopsis: Julie has found her soulmate Sean at work. The problem is Sean doesn’t know it. Julie has no problem going after what she wants and the people in her way will be dealt with
What I liked: this is a debut novel and is very well written. You will keep turning pages and can’t believe what you read. The story is told from Julie’s pov which was a great choice. I think the dark humor/satire missed something for me and came across more cringey to me. She really details out the story well and it was a totally unique premise.

Julie Tudor Is Not a Psychopath is a darkly funny ride with an unhinged and unpredictable FMC who keeps readers on their toes. Told in first person POV across multiple timelines, the story follows Julie as she navigates life, love, and the occasional morally gray decision. While the book starts strong, the pacing drags in the middle despite its short length (320 pages), and I found myself wishing for a quicker resolution. Julie’s quirks—reminiscent of Eleanor Oliphant—make her both compelling and unsettling. A fun, twisted comedy that’s perfect for a weekend binge.

📚ARC Review📚 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5/5)
🩸💔"Julie Tudor Is Not a Psychopath" by Jennifer Holdich💔🩸
Julie Tudor is a force to be reckoned with, armed with a spreadsheet and a letter opener—and she's not afraid to use them. She insists she’s not unhinged—just in love. If you enjoy rooting for someone you shouldn’t, this wickedly original debut is for you.
From the moment I laid eyes on that eye-catching cover and gobbled up the blurb, I was in. Thanks to Sourcebook Landmark for indulging my obsession by providing a gifted ARC after a bit of groveling.
Julie is the perfect unreliable narrator—socially awkward, slightly delusional, and unpredictably relatable. One moment, she's jotting down her crush's favorite snacks, and the next, she's finding creative ways to overcome obstacles. She's the kind of character who makes you gasp and giggle at the same time.
The alternating timelines made this a compelling read for me. Holdich skillfully intertwines Julie’s childhood trauma with her present-day infatuation.
The book is a little slow at the start, but I was eager for Julie to let her freak flag fly. Once she did, I couldn’t look away.
Perfect for fans of "Dexter," "You," or any story that dances the fine line between horror and hilarity. Can’t wait to see what tricks this author has up their sleeve next!
