I honestly didn't like this as much as I thought I would. I thought the main character was way too optimistic to the point that it really annoyed me and I felt like this made her look dumb when she's actually smart.

The plot was average, and the drawings were cute. I didn't like the characters though, and I like to read character-driven stories, so this was a recipe for disaster.

A cute manga, I'll probably pick up the next volume next time I'm at the library. I remember enjoying the anime when I watched it years ago and being told to read the manga as it is better. I think once I start getting into new material I will enjoy it more.

This series was so foundational for me when I first started getting into manga and anime. For a long time, it was the only anime I had on dvd (the original series). I've owned the collectors edition of the manga for a few years now and it's finally tim  to work my way through it.

It's hard to truly rate because of my nostalgia. That being said, the story and the art hold up, unlike some other shoujo I read and watched back in the day. I'm excited to revisit this story and the characters.

I am on my journey of rereading these because I wanted to read the sequel of it. The entire time I was giddy and felt like I was a teenager all over again. I love these books so much.

I read some of the series and watched some of the original anime back in middle school and high school and they’ve always been in my memory for having such an incredible story. I’ve been wanting to read Tohru’s story again and it’s still feels just as it was years ago.

Vol. 1 - Tohru Honda is a high school girl who recently lost her mother in a car accident and has been living in a tent in a forest. She has an always cheery personality and always looks at the bright side of everything despite having a tough life. She discovers that she’s living near the home of Yuki Sohma
