This was incredible novella that packed a punch for the short page length. the emotions just leapt off the page - it was a second chance romance with push and pull which would usually frustrate me but here I could understand why each character behaved the way they did. It was angsty but absolutely beautiful

Didn't end as abruptly as the first book. The introduction to seduction portion was longer so I understood where the characters were coming from and enjoyed their intimate time together. Hoping all the books in this series (and Reid's other stories) don't have a character that is "flawed" according to society. Having their love interest prove they love them regardless of the flaw will get old fast for me.

Years of mutual pining and yearning + a FMC in disguise when seducing the MMC for one night of pleasure, only her secret identity is not-so-secret? I love that set up. And Stacy Reid can write some serious steam.

The storyline is pretty simple (the MMC is basically trying to convince the FMC that she’s good enough throughout the entire book), so the ~200 page length was perfect. Also perfect was the MMC — possessive but very tender, and pretty unwavering in his feelings.

Really enjoying this series so far.

This story was similar to the first book in the series - the heroine and hero love each other in their youth and they hope to be together. But circumstances pull them apart only to find themselves again. The hero in this story is more aggressive and makes sure the heroine gets what she is asked for. And the amazing story is more steamy than the first!
