| I.... I still feel kinda bad for Tamlin...
I k0w that he was kinda a dick but... I dun0... I still feel bad for him..
Like if he just had a better father he would have turned a lot better.
0w I'm 0t saying he shouldn't have been punished, 0r am I saying that Feyre should have gone back and stayed with him.
But also I don't think that she should have fucking destroyed his court!
Also I knew it! I knew the thing about Mor! I KNEW IT! Also let's just have a moment for Azriel. Like that guy waited for nearly five hundred years for 0thing! Nada! Poor guy.
Also also can we just talk about Cassian for a sec? I mean Rhysand is bae and all, like he is up there with Warner but Cassian is just a beautiful special boy. Why is he special, you ask? I dun0... he just is..
Also.... I need to stop using that word.
I don't k0w how Feyre went from like a hopeless, helpless human (whose actions had me questioning my sanity at some points) into one of the most powerful, kind and feared in like 0thing more then a year or two. But I love her and I'm going to ig0re it.

P.S. Fuck you for making me cry for 0thing.

P.S.S. Fuck you for making me cry at all!

Okay. First of all, I am a romantasy newb. How I landed here I am unsure but not mad at it and increasingly all about it. Secondly, while I gave this book 5 stars it was not without its (long and seemingly unending) lulls. Something about world building I think? I’m unsure but it definitely dragged in the middle third. But I couldn’t put it down by the last couple hundred pages. Btw since when do I enjoy books about war? Seriously, someone explain what magic Sarah J. Maas is working on me! I don’t even think I said that right but who cares. I am now into romantasy books. Like, so invested in these characters and their world. I CRIED at one point. I’m simultaneously perplexed and obsessed. Gimme the next one soon please, Libby!
*please note it took me almost a month to get through this book. I’m not a fast reader and typically only read about an hour at night before bed but man these books are loooong.

don't get me wrong, this book was amazing. but, again, this series is missing something. i don't quite know what, but it doesn't pierce its way through the pages like other books i've read. you grow to adore the characters and the adventures they go through, but it's repetitive. steady, healthy relationships are shown (along with a...not so healthy one), which is very much appreciated. i like the individuality everyone has and the main relationship is written well. overall, feyre is written as a human person with emotions, and that's one of my favorite parts of the series. a lot of the times, you see fantasy/ya/dystopia novels with protagonists written as hollow shells or unrealistically emotional. neither of those things are bad per-say, but feyre is written with complex, conflicting and understandable feelings and thought processes. she was relatable and really fun to get to know.

Honestly this book is sooooo balanced!! I think Maas did an awesome job of keeping things well timed and paced. It had suprises along the way and full of heart. When you get to the end even though its been a short time you can feel the exhaustion of the characters and the distance they felt. All of the magic I think worked well. And seeing the planning was very interesting. I really enjoyed the book and thought it had one of the best wars I've seen in a fantasy novel in a long time.
