It took me such a long time finishing this that I feared my ebook library would delete it from its catalogue before I arrived at the end.

I honestly do not know why it did not quite grab me like the first book. There are all the things I like: action, world saving, crazy outfits, tragically romantic love scenes, found family, betrayal, friendship, values, diversity, impossible odds... I could go on.
And I did miss a bus stop near the end. I like how it turns out, I am glad I read it.

I recommend to read this instantly after the first volume, when the characters are still close to your heart. My theory is that I waited too long between books, and did not remember enough to be instantly engaged.
In a way the duology is one big book and should be read as such.

A fantastic conclusion to this duology. Poston is an incredible author, and I look forward to reading more of her work!

I really liked this read. I wish I had read these two books a bit closer together. I loved the story and really enjoyed the characters. I really loved the anastasia elements in this story. It also went in a way in the end that I did not expect and that was really fun. The highlight of the read was def the characters. I also loved the diversity that was woven into this read and was just a fun read. I read it super quickly. I really loved this series and hope to reread it soon, maybe by audio

i’ll admit, I had forgotten a lot about Heart of Iron except that I enjoyed it, and that there was a crushing cliffhanger. However, I jumped right in to this sequel and thought Poston did a great job with the duology. The ensemble cast and rotating narrators were all interesting in their own right, and there were plenty of good plot twists and action as Ana and her friends discover their real enemy, an ancient entity called The Great Dark, and race to save the galaxy.

*YELLS AT ASH A LOT*

What a perfect ending to this Exactly-My-Shit Story. This book cleared my skin, watered my crops, paid my student loans, and made my soul glow.

hold on, I should do a slightly more professional version of this, gOD BUT HOW, I JUST WANT TO SCREAM WORDLESSLY AT THIS BOOK FOREVER IT WAS SO. GOOD!

.

A perfect continuation and conclusion to this absolutely brilliant sci-fi reworking of Anastasia--more spaceships and crazy stunts, character moments and heartbreak, space magic and revolution, robots and questions about free will, legacy and responsibility, all with one of Ashley's signature, soul-satisfying endings. I cried, I wanted to fling the book into the sun, I wanted to hold the pages to my heart from now until the end of time. Suffice to say that Ashley continues to be one of my favorite authors of all time, and I'm so grateful that I get the chance to read her stupid-gorgeous words and brilliant stories.

Loved it. The outcome was sensational. The ending got a taste of "I want more", I would have liked to see more interaction between them in "happily ever after", but that is a particular taste of mine. In the rest, perfect.

Unfortunately, circumstances made the reading of this book take forever. The story itself was not quite the issue, so I cannot fairly rate it at this time.

This book definitely took me longer to finish than Heart of Iron. I found the first half to drag a bit and once I made it just past the middle things started to get a lot more interesting.
I think my favourite parts were any chapters relating to Jax. I would love to read a book about the Solani, their history is touched on too briefly.
