This book might be my favorite in the trilogy. I’ve always been sucker for bantering MCs, so I know that I will like this book no matter what.

I have to say this is not as intense as the Ravishing the Heiress, but it made me feel pain towards the end (just when I thought it all worked out) I couldn’t help my tears.

This one is not quite as good as Ravishing the Heiress, but I adored Hastings and his daughter, and I really enjoyed the way Thomas used Helena's amnesia to develop their relationship (
and make her realize she wasn't actually in love with Mr. Martin
).

Thomas's writing is so decadent and delicious. It is a pleasure to spend time in the world she's created, and I am definitely planning on reading more by her. These books have been slow burn, but when the couples do get around to having sex, it is WILDLY hot - truly scorching.

Sherry blew me out of the water with this one. Y'all said this was the best amnesia romance, and you were right. The work she does with character building is super impressive, with Helena slowly regaining parts of her memory and David terrified of losing her again (i.e. when her memory is back). I was never quite sure what kind of a resolution we'd get, but I was immensely satisfied.

I was going to give up on the series after how much I hated book 2, but I was told the third book is the best, so I kept going. While I did like book 3 the best, I still didnt LOVE it. Sherry Thomas’ writing is a bit adicting (I couldn’t put the book down) but she makes it hard to root for these characters sometimes.

Okay, this was really good! I really disliked Ravishing the Heiress, but my favorite supporting character in that book was Hastings. You got the sense that he was a scoundrel with a heart of gold. It was lovely to read about his unrequited love and HEA. It made up for all things I didn’t like in the previous book!

The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star, was that I wish it had been a little longer and we could have spent more time on their relationship development.  It took me a while to warm up to Helena. Yes, Hastings was an idiot for not being honest about his feelings (that seems to be a running theme in this series) but Helena wasn’t exactly the most approachable person, and she came across as pretty insufferable in the beginning. But she did get her shit together and I loved that she was an independent woman who started her own publishing company!

Bonus points for Hasting’s lovely and beautiful relationship with his little girl, and his secret talent as a wonderful artist and writer.

 I highly recommend!
