My Favourite in the Trilogy but...

Of the three books in this trilogy, this one is probably my favourite. It’s rom-com adjacent, laugh out loud funny. Kiera is truly the everywoman heroine of this trilogy because reading this series it’s almost as if every single person is involved and knowledgeable about the lifestyle. Kiera is actually clueless, filled with misconceptions and not even curious at the beginning like most people are. Therefore, this was a good opportunity for her and for many of us readers to learn about the contexts of the BDSM lifestyle.

The premise is that Kiera is a cosplaying, sci-fi show-loving fangirl with extra dashes of nerdiness who hangs out at a sci-fi show convention with Daniel, where they hit it off and falls in love. The only issue, Daniel is heavily into the BDSM lifestyle and Kiera is incredibly vanilla and not even curious. Can Daniel truly separate his lifestyle from his love or will keeping secrets make them crash and burn?

HOWEVER, I kind of felt like Kiera was sort of indirectly pressured to be more involved and more adaptable to the lifestyle. I was a little uncomfortable with this aspect of the book and with identifying how much of Kiera’s involvement was her actual preference and how much was a result of her wanting to hold on to the one guy interested in her. I mean I can also see the positive spin of this that this is a book of awakening for Kiera but I personally read it the opposite way and was somewhat uncomfortable with this narrative of Kiera’s development in the lifestyle.

I liked this one, but I admit that I didn't enjoy this installment as much as the previous two. I enjoyed getting to know Daniel and his life as a switch after meeting him in Tamed. It was great to see a self proclaimed nerd like Keira as a front and center character and dipping into the world of kink, but what I didn't enjoy was her judgement once she entered the world. I feel like she sort of made up in her mind what Daniel was like and what he did as far as kink and anything that contradicted that wasn't welcome. I thought this was ironic since she often felt like people judged her for her nerdiness. It made me a bit sad that Daniel felt like he could only have one or the other and that he felt like he had that side of himself from Keira, though I don't think I can blame all of that on Keira. Armando definitely played a role in that. Yes, Daniel should've been honest and upfront, but I also didn't necessarily agree with the line of thinking that he had lied to Keira about who he was. I think he was honestly just scared.

Anyway, in the end I did still enjoy it and obviously I'm glad it all worked out in the end. Finding out Keira's kinks though...that was interesting as hell.

Yet again, I wish this was longer and more developed, since I really liked Daniel and Keira together. Also, as a fangirl myself, I wished for more geeky scenes :)

Might be my favorite of the three! Probably because I really loved Keira. It was great how much of an enormous geek she was! Keira and Daniel's relationship was another good example of a healthy one, where mistakes may be made, but the couple is able to work as a team to support each other and become stronger.

With all three of these novellas, I would have really enjoyed seeing more of some scenes that were skipped over, especially things like conversations that seem to help resolve the conflicts present. I'd like to spend more time both with the main couples as well as their supporting cast.

Probably my favorite from the series. I really like characters especially Keira. The chemistry between her and Daniel was great and I liked their relationship development. I'm a broken record in that I wish the novellas in this series were full-length book to enhance the plot development, but Sated does the best job of not moving too fast like the previous novellas. Certain things are a bit rushed , but it's not to the detriment of the story. All in all, I liked this and look forward to reading other stories from Rebekah Weatherspoon.

This was super fun and fluffy and exactly the light, quick read I was after. I liked a lot that both characters had friends and family and important relationships with people not just each other. I was a little sad that we only got the "this conversation happened and this is the outcome" rather than the actual conversation a few times - especially between Keira and Mistress Evelyn, but overall I think I liked this as much if not a little more than book one, and it was definitely fun.

While Keira wasn't as much of a main character in the first two books like the two male trainers in the gym, she was mentioned enough that I was curious about her happy ending. I loved the geeky nature of the two characters, and loved Keira's exploration of an aspect of sexuality that she didn't believe she would like. All in all, a fun read, especially if you like geeky characters getting it on.

oooh this was an excellent read. loved Keira and Daniel together. ok i havent read the 2nd book but i loved this even more than FIT, book 1.

Keira was so nerdy and such a fangirl about her show which i adored, because when i'm into something I love gushing about it, and Daniel is so into listening to her go on and on about it. :) The way Keira explored her curiosity about certain aspects of BDSM was so well done, i thought. At no time did it feel like she was doing any of it because Daniel was pressuring her, it came across as genuine curiosity, even after initially being like nope! about everything Daniel was into.

Plus our heroine's a nerdy black fitness instructor and hero's a disabled Korean man who's also a pyrotechnics specialist and I just loved everything about them together. Their frank discussions (well except for the part where Daniel left some key details out >.>), they just communicate their needs and wants quite clearly.

loved it.
