A Ghouls Kiss by J.M Stonebeck is a fantastic story of two completely different people thrown together by chance.

Blind dates are never easy. Yet when Sarah finds herself injured and in a world she knew nothing about it can definitely be said that this blind date was unexpected to say the least.

Eric is used to a world without humans - a world he is more than happy with. When Sarah arrives in his world he is reluctant to put his trust in her and allow the cross between worlds. But when he realises her importance it sets them on a journey that could change everything.

This book was brilliant. Well written with great characters and a fantastic story. It had everything you could want from romance to the paranormal. The first in the series and it has left me wanting more.

My first impression of this book was not great. I have a background in medicine so in the first couple chapters there were some glaringly obvious inaccuracies that I couldn’t stop thinking about. First off, anyone who survives liver cancer is not going to be drinking alcohol. Second, the doctor who gives Sarah a blood transfusion doesn’t check her blood type. He also is using a vein on the back of her hand which is probably one of the worst placements I can think of. Any vein there would be far too small for the size of the needle required to not damage the blood cells or completely blow out that vein. Also a patient needs literally constant observation in the first 15 minutes during a transfusion.
With my medical rant over, I was captivated by the rest of the story. I always enjoy stories that give you more about supernatural characters than you constantly hear in fairy tales and popular movies. It gives you so much more depth to the characters because you can’t really compare them to ghouls or vampires you’ve come across before.
If you enjoy supernatural romance, you’ll love this story. The only people who are going to be bothered by the medical parts are going to be ones with medical backgrounds but a lay person won’t really notice it much. A few of the plot twists were relatively easy to pick up on early but it only made me read faster to get to where other characters will figure it out. Looking forward to the sequel!

Ghoul Kisses (A Ghoul's Kiss Book 1) by J.M. Stoneback is the first of a new paranormal romance series that was amazing! 4 stars! Much different from other PNR, this series features Ghouls. It is written in alternating first person POV by the two main characters: Sarah and Eric. Sarah is just a human, unaware that Ghouls exist until she lands right in King of Ghoul’s hands. Eric doesn’t trust humans, at all. Until her…..Both main characters were so well written, and this story engages you from the start. I really loved watching Sarah’s progression into this strange world of the paranormal. It was written in such an authentic way that I could totally see this happening in real life! (A girl can dream;) There was mystery, romance, suspense-all the pulls & pushes in this novel! Can’t wait for the next one!

I enjoyed this book and read it in one go. It was an easy read and a refreshingly different take on a genre that has been well covered.

I like the introduction of ghouls into a vampire involved story and the battles between them. The characters were good and it had an other worldly feel to the writing.

The romance part of this book was very good and strong and there was clear chemistry between the two characters even though Eric clearly didn't have a grasp on humans and their feelings which made for some amusing moments and statements. The paranormal part of this book could, for me, of had a bit more to it. Some more background story and explanations of how things work in their worlds would of gone a long way. I struggled to grasp why Sarah was so accepting of her position and just seemed to accept it instead of trying desperately to get home.

As this is one in a series of stories and it has a relatively unique edge, I think that these books would only get better and am certainly interesting in reading them.

This book was pretty good, I liked the plot and a lot of the characters. I didn't like that the author info dumps A LOT of the story. I would prefer action and more dialogue personally. Overall, a fun read, but not one that I will read over and over again.

Ghoul's Kiss by J. M. Stoneback

Five Stars!!

What if supernatural creatures really existed and life wasnt as you thought it was? This is the reality that Sarah has to come to terms with in Ghoul Kisses the first book in the Ghouls kiss series by J. M. Stoneback. The captivating tale of romance in the supernatural world is the story of King Eric and Sarah. The adventure that ensues is both fascinating and keeps you glued to the book. As the story unfolds you are drawn into the supernatural world of the Ghouls, Vampires and other supernatural beings and the growing feelings of Eric and Sarah.

In Ghoul Kisses J.M. Stoneback has created a virutal page turner. I couldnt put it down. The developement of the characters is both fresh and exciting. I found myself torn with the twists and turns that happened in the story. The book is excellently written and the characters are brought to life by the authors creative way in which the story unfolds. I was definately engrossed in this book. The story shows how no matter what you are you can always find your true soul mate.

Ghoul Kisses ( A Ghoul Kiss Book 1) by J.M. Stoneback
Rated 4 stars

I was taken in by the title and the cover of this book. It's fairly short and I like the premise of the story. The writing felt kinda choppy at times. It slipped from one scene to another without letting the reader know sometimes in conversations too. So I went back and reread what I had previously read to see if I missed a whole page or something. It got better as the book got moving.

The story premise is interesting and one I have not read before. So I was intrigued. The idea of good looking ghouls was a different approach. There wasn't a lot of forward motion in this story. Just small baby steps. I was kinda let down that Eric never did what he wanted which was to ask Sarah a question or really talk about his past . The story continues and we will find out more in the second book.

There are quite a few characters and they helped round out the story. Vanessa was a great friend to Sarah you will see what I mean near the end of the book. Eric's brothers were interesting especially their powers. The underlings and mates also provided entertainment.
This story has all the creatures that go bump in the night. I love a good paranormal story. I liked this book but feel a few ( small) things need to be addressed to make it flow better for the reader. The storyline and ideas were good!

Keep up the good work!

A Ghoul's Kiss Book 1 by J.M. Stoneback is a paranormal-fantasy-romance that will keep you engaged until the last word. This story is about a woman who finds herself mixed into a world that she doesn't believe exists. Will the one thing that she holds close to her heart be the thing that could destroy her? Will she find the one thing she has always dreamed of? This is my first book by this author and I found myself not being able to put it down. Her attention to details and her writing style keeps the story flowing until the end. I enjoyed her creation of characters as they are connectable and will pull you right into their world of the paranormal. You will enjoy the twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next. They will take you on a roller coaster ride of action, mystery, danger and you don't want to miss the romance.

This is the story of Sarah and Eric. They seem to have a connection, an attraction right from the start. They try fighting the connection and attraction but once they give in, you don't want to miss what happens next. Sarah is a strong, independent character. She has a past that leaves her confused but she has an open heart and is willing to listen to those who will reveal things she just might not want to know about herself. Eric is strong and has to have things his way and that's it. He is handsome and attractive. What will happen when they realize that they are falling in love with each other? They are from two different worlds, is it possible to find their HEA? Will they find what they are looking for before it is too late? I highly recommend this story as you will want to see what happens when these two worlds collide and if a HEA is in the future.

A Ghoul’s Kiss is the first book in the Ghoul Kisses series by J.M Stoneback. This is an incredibly good paranormal romance with action, intrigue, drama, angst, magic, and supernatural creatures such as Ghouls, Vampire’s, Trolls, Werewolves Witches and Warlocks. I loved reading this book- it’s the first time I have read anything by this author, and have since added Ms. Stoneback to my one-click author list- because I feel that I am going to love anything she writes.
When I read the blurb, I was a little dubious about having a Ghoul as my potential new book boyfriend. I had always associated ghouls with ugliness and decay. But Ms. Stoneback proved me wrong, Eric is completely sexy and very swoon-worthy…. and I love how she put her own twist on all the supernatural creatures that we all know so well.
Sarah Clemons is an Oncologist who’s out celebrating a fantastic new job opportunity. But there is a situation that leaves Sarah unconscious and injured. Lucky for her, Eric discovers her and takes her back to his home to rest and recuperate. She wakes up in a strange home with a very sexy and intense man who seems determined to keep her there. Sarah doesn’t know if she can, or should trust him. But as the days pass she feels a deep bond developing between them.
Eric Faye is a king of the Ghoul’s, and would usually avoid interacting with humans, but there is something about Sarah that resonates with him on a deeper level. Against his better judgement, he takes her back to his home and organised a doctor to come to treat her. He knows that there is more to her situation and is determined to get to the bottom of it, and protect her. He has been searching for the Zenith Book and is desperate to find it, as he needs it to help save his people. His fascination with Sarah grows when he discovers that she has the key that unlocks the book. Now he needs her help to find it. To find out what happens in this exciting story, you really will need to read it for yourself. I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as I did.
I loved the story, I was enthralled and couldn’t put it down. I read the whole book in a few hours- devouring my way through the chapters to discover what was happening. I got to the end and wanted the next book- YESTERDAY.
But there were a few issues that I feel I need to mention- for example; the dialogue seemed a little forced and stilted in places; the first few chapters were a little slow, but the last quarter of the book felt a little rushed; then there were little things like- Sarah seeing someone executed in front of her and the next minute she’s agreeing to dinner plans??? Or…. one of the characters was in a coma for two weeks, wakes up and is released by the Doctor within an hour of consciousness??? Or…. Sarah had just got this fantastic job opportunity that she’s very excited about, and was due to start the morning after her celebration, but her job and/or not turning up for work, or anything more about her working as a doctor at the University of Washington Medical Centre is never mentioned again???................ These issues didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book, but if these small things were dealt with, the story would be lifted to a whole new, spellbinding level of enjoyment.
I loved the characters, they were unique, complex, well-crafted, fully realised and likable. Eric is dreamy, a perfect book boyfriend. I wanted to know so much more about him, more detail about his homeland and the circumstances that brought the ghouls to the human world, etc. I hope we find out more in the next book. Sarah completely frustrated me at times. There were more than a few occasions where he acted so brattishly that I just had to shake my head. She’d act jealous of Eric getting any attention from other females, but push him away constantly- I was yelling ‘Make up your mind” at my kindle. Even so, I did think she and Eric were perfect for each other.
The story ended leaving me with quite a few unanswered questions, which I hope will be covered in the next book. I really need to know what happens and can’t wait to get my hands on book two.
This story sets this series off to a great start.

Thank you, Ms. Stoneback!

A Ghoul’s Kiss is the first book in the Ghouls Kisses series by J.M. Stonebeck which is an
Urban Fantasy, Romance, Paranormal story. Ghouls Kisses is a quick read that gave us a look at JM’s unique and refreshing take on a world full of Ghouls, Vampires and other paranormal beings. Even though this story is a quick read it was well written and had everything needed to make it a good read. It is action packed and fast paced, along with gripping suspense and danger lurking just around the corner plus it is seductive to boot and is one of the best supernatural reads I have come across in a while.
A Ghouls Kiss follows our main character Sarah Clemons who is just about to embark on a new beginning but finds herself thrown into a world she never knew existed. When a blind date goes from bad to worse Sarah finds herself at the mercy of the hot and sexy alpha, Eric, who is far more than he seems. When Eric stumbles across a Human in need of help, little does he know that she holds the key that may help him to not only destroy his enemy but may be the one to his heart.
I thoroughly enjoyed the witty banter of the characters and all the twists and turns that came their way. I recommend this book to all those that love a good alpha romance with a paranormal and urban fantasy twist. I thoroughly look forward to the next book.
This book is a 5 star read.
