Gripping

In this book Boss of the team of enforcers Finn meets a woman who turns his cold world upside down.

Delaney has lost a lot and has a stalker after her. When another fire breaks out around her and she gas blacked out, she decides that Finn is the man to trust with her ideas that maybe she started the fires. However she starts a turn on events that has the men around her into protectors and Finn wanting something he thinks he cannot gave.

We have suspense, romance, action, emotions and deep friendships all in play with this book that will whip you into a frenzy and wanting to turn page after page.

I really loved this book and want to read more.

This book was okay, but I like a few of the other characters who I suspect will be featured in future stories, so I will continue work the series.

This is a clever concept for a book— dragon shifters who, among other things, put out fires. The fires are caused by dragon-shifters, but at times our heroes have to blend in with human firefighters to help out them out. Which is how the boss of the enforcers in the California Sierra Nevada mountains, Finn, meets Delaney. She is caught in a dragon fire. But did she set it, or is she the victim of her stalker? And most important for Finn and Delaney, is she a potential dragon mate? She and Finn are drawn to each other, but Finn has already lost a potential mate to death during the mating process and is haunted by that. Even if Finn can take care of Delaney’s stalker, he and Delaney might not end up together.

There were a few continuity problems in the book and a couple of things that didn’t make sense, and the world-building wasn’t fully explained until half-way through. But all-in-all I really enjoyed this book and I’m glad I stumbled upon it and the series. I hope my rating helps pull the rating up to a good, solid 4*s because I think it deserves it. Oh, and the cover is HOT!

The Boss by Abigail Owen

5-stars

The Boss by Abigail Owen has topped my list of favourite books! I honestly couldn’t love this book more than I do. I was so captivated by this storyline that I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. This was my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last, I plan on diving in to all of Abigail Owen’s work ASAP!

The Boss is the first book in the Fire’s Edge series, a series that I can’t wait to read. This book is intense, entertaining, dramatic, riveting and so steamy, everything I love in a paranormal shifter read. Finn and Delaney were incredible, and I loved following their journey! There was so much vivid detail that I could easily picture everything playing out in my mind which made this such an entertaining read!

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal shifter read, it’s one you won’t want to miss!

I love shifter romances, and dragons are one of my faves so I was very excited to read this one. I'm happy to say that it didn't disappoint in any way. In fact, it was even better than I was expecting. The story is original and the take on Dragon Sifters was something I hadn't seen before. The story line was full of excitement and emotional ups and downs. There is also a lot of fiery passion between characters who were complex and wonderfully written. This is one series that I'm going to continue reading.

CW: violence, stalking

I read the Inferno Rising series first, so it was very interesting to go back and read this one knowing the things I know from the other one. I liked both Finn and Delaney. I found all the questions about the mates and their marks changing was a great twist. I loved the found family aspect of this story, too.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Boss was a great starter to the Fire's Edge series. In it, you will meet Delaney and Finn. Delaney has moved a couple of times trying to get away from her past.. yet it somehow always catches up to her. Then there's Finn who is a dragon shifter and the boss of a group of dragons. If you knew them, you'd think they are apart of a firefighter's department..but if you really knew them, you'd know they are dragons.

When Finn and Delaney meet, it's because of random fire. Now Delaney has black out moments where she doesn't know how she got some where but there always seems to be fire around. Enter Finn who yells at her for standing in the middle of a barn that's on fire..

From that first moment, I loved them together. However, both had a past that they had to overcome. They could only lean on each other to make their future better. Their chemistry and sexual tension was so freaking good as well. When they started to act on their feelings - damn, was it good.

The villain in this book was good because he was crazy and obsessive. I liked the little fight scene that I got as well - however, the ending was the best part. I need to know who the new villain is and why they are going after Delaney's coworker/boss Sera. I need the next book ASAP!

**I received a copy of The Boss from Net Galley and Entangled Publishing in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. All opinions are my own**

The Boss by Abigail Owen is the first book in her Fire's Edge series. I haven't read any of her other books but this one book has me anxious waiting for the other dragons to get their own stories or mates. You'll be in love because where else can you find Dragon's, Firefighters and a bad guy or should I mean Dragon? This one book has all of them so I give it all 5 stars gladly.

Finn Conleth is not only in charge of his enforcers dragon shifters but they also can help the humans when the fire is spotted during their drills and we all know how quickly they can grow and become a huge forest fire. But when he rescues Delaney Hamilton from a barn/winery little does he know that she'll become very special to him but also help him find a rogue dragon they've been searching for. He lost a mate once when he tried to turn her and its made him decide not to try again.

Delaney Hamilton has been running from a stalker Graff who has followed her all over the country because he can't understand that she doesn't want to see him any longer. However, every time she leaves it's because a fire has occurred and she thinks that she's responsible. But when a fire starts at Apple Hill Winery she tries to put it out and save her friend's wine. But when she meets Finn it's his ice blue eyes that will have her wondering if he can help her explain not only the fires but also her attraction to him. Finn will try hard to deny the attraction until his supervisor Deep points out that because mates are so few, that perhaps Delaney is the one.

It will take all of Finn's crew to find and stop Graff especially when Delaney is taken hostage but there are more sinister dragons out there that are determined to find their mates even if she isn't aware she's compatible to him.

This was a really good book! I really enjoyed it. I just wished the ending wasn’t so rushed and it did end at the 88% mark which was a little confusing.
