This series is really great. It's super immersive and I always get swept up by the story. I love Yorrick, he's adorable but also a complete idiot. Keen to continue on to the final book!

I love this series. I wish I had gotten to this years ago, but I do like the hardcovers that I have been collecting.

A lot more backstory on three characters whose histories we've only gotten bits of here and there. Drugs, war, love, national politics – all recurring themes as the series rounds the corner towards the home stretch. One angle of this series has been what happens when women gain control over the institutions that men created and/or dominated, and whether that reveals more general human characteristics than specific gender ones. Still, this series is written by a man, and I constantly wonder whether the nuances of this scenario would be better explored by a woman. Going into the final book now, so we'll see how it ends.

GAH! It just stopped. Are there more than 4 volumes? There were only 4 at the library. Trust me, I'll be thrilled if there's more story...I just need to have it now. Actually, there has to be more story. It can't end just that way. There are way too many questions that need answers. Ugh! How will I sleep now?

I don't think I've read a single one of these books that *doesn't* use the word 'retarded'
Also, women are quite determined that men must rule them...and of course, nuns would fall nicely into that category, right? Apparently Vaughan hasn't met many nuns. Nothing worse than Republicans & Catholics, of course
Yorrick makes it into the tabloids, we find out more about 355's history & childhood, the gang finally makes it to Japan, and Dr. Mann thinks she can take on a ninja just 'cause she took some fencing lessons in college.
