I read this book last year because I accidentally stumbled upon it online as a free pdf. I read it again yesterday because the film is about to come out and I wanted to refresh my memories so I could criticize the film about the left out or changed parts (like I do on book-based films that i've actually read).

A year has passed and yet I still feel the same about it. The common story of girl meets disabled boy. The first time in the book that it was mentioned that Will wanted to die, I already knew the ending would be his death or some will he left for the love of his life, that there'd be exchanges of 'I want you to be with someone who could do things that I couldn't' or something along that line. And I was correct! So painfully correct. I was praying for an epic plot twist or something. But alas! We couldn't always get what we want.

I'm still looking forward to the movie. I am a big fan of Matt Dave Lewis, Sam Claflin and Emilia 'Mother of Dragons' Clarke after all. And I just also want to share that Jojo Moyes is very friendly! She replied several times to my nonsensical tweets.

This is one of those books which I read in July when my hard drive failed. Taking the draft of the review I had written. So this is off the top of my head. And I remember how amazingly brilliant this was. I cried. I cried so hard, so much.

A young woman lost and seemingly doomed to a future of drudgery. A young man doomed by inattention. A family of "distinction" lost. A sometimes supportive lower-class family.

Moyes addresses intense issues. Relationships and how one sees one's self. Acceptance. New perspectives. Choosing one fate over another.

She pulls it together so well, and you'll want to curse, to scream, to lash out. You'll feel both protagonists.

Me Before You is a sometimes tedious journey as you wonder where Moyes is headed, but I assure you that it's a journey worth taking if only for the new perspective you will gain on several issues most of us prefer to ignore.

Despite going into this book knowing exactly how it ended as I watched the movie first, I still cried like a bitch.

I can give you a million reasons why I thought certain things shouldn’t have happened but at the end of the day, we as able bodied persons can’t make decisions for others when we have no idea what it’s like to be in their situation. And that’s how it should be.

So for that I’m thankful to Jojo Moyes for teaching me so much about things I never knew existed and to give me a glimpse into a life lived like this.

Truly, such an amazing book and I’ll probably read it again in the future just so I get the feels and emotions I felt from this book.

Such a super sweet, easy read! I loved how different this kind of love story is. Haven't read anything like it before.

I actually really love the ending because it wasn't your classic cheesy ending. I'm heartbroken and almost feel a loss myself but I understand where Will was coming from.

Lou is a cute person but I love Wills sass. I think he's my favourite character.

Super good read! I finished it within two days so that must tell you something.
