Not for me. The writing style didn't feel smooth, and couldn't connect with the characters.

DNF!!! No thank you. The main character of this book was painful to listen to, let alone have to read in her point of view. The scenario and her quickness to fall for a human sex trafficker was absolutely ridiculous.

I tried, I really tried. But alas, I had to throw in the towel at about 55%. I'm just sad I wasted that much of my time.... Ugh

From the get go I was not into this one. There wasn't a moment for me to connect with the MC. I didn't at the start when she's saying good-bye to her perfect yet very off boyfriend, to arriving in Georgia to her body guard who does a terrible job at guarding her. It is obvious that we're not getting the full story about who her dad is and we never actually get it. Instead we get a kidnapping with a man who feels nothing about trafficking women but feels something for her and yet still plans to train her for, his boss...What?!

The boss of this human trafficking ring is like 30 and at the top of his game? He's a power hungry fake Dom who gets off on scaring women and someone lets his emotions get the best of him. Don't see how that makes him boss but what ever.

The "science" and purpose behind Blyss is interesting, although very creepy, the story in general didn't work for me. Even the hot scenes couldn't get me past what was really going on. This one just wasn't for me.

Absolutely absurd BUT it was free. I kept thinking how absurd it was like 50 shades of Grey… and then she literally reads 50 shades of Grey in the book. It was entertaining at times but the characters were, for lack of a better term, cringe.

Loved this book, in fact the twists and turns of the series were very well done.

I gave this book a 3.5 star rating. Honestly this is pretty high for this type of book. I really am not a huge fun of dark, Stockholm type reads.

"I shudder at the thought of becoming a mindless robot, being used for my body, them violating me in ways that would surely crush my spirit." - This quote was the absolute epitome of why I do not enjoy these types of reads. With that being said, the author really does bring you to a dark, hopeless place.

There did seem to be a lot of research put into this book and I loved the creativity of Blyss. The author did a phenomenal job taking you along with the ups and downs of the story. I was torn to continue this book around chapter 5 when I figured out what was going on. I am not usually one to have any DNF books on my shelves, so I kept on reading. I am curious to see what will happen next, but I just don't think my mindset right now is ready to continue.

Julianna- Is just about to have her 21st birthday. She had the world, a fiancée, a dad who loves her, and a great life. When she goes home to visit her father something terribly goes wrong!

Nick- The man who wants her, the man that is obsessed with her, the mane who will do things that you can only dream of.

Travis- The man who is Julianna’s safty “blanket". She becomes to count on him, lean on in and when things she thinks she nows turn out not to be true….

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!! Yes it is dark and some people may not like it but it keeps you into the book you don’t want to put it down. The world this author has created feels so real and you start believing in these characters, the story and feelings that keep going around. I cant wait to read book two! I need to know what happens and who makes Julianna happy! Is there a happy ever after for her?
challenging dark emotional mysterious sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

I like the story line, but I don’t necessarily feel like I know the main characters that well. Julianna is Miss Perfect, Travis has something going on deep down...what Idk yet, and Nick is a jealous git. Hoping I get to know them better in the next one.

HATED this book. Disappointing
