Candace has written a very basic book revolving around her preferred styles, skincare, makeup, accessories, and self care routine. There is nothing spectacular I gleaned from her shared knowledge which, again, revolves solely around her personal style and general flattering fashion. This book is very much a narrative of her own preferences, with a bit of shallow fashion advice throughout.
I was disappointed in the promotion of many fast fashion brands, notorious for their abuse of sweat shop workers, and the lack of ethical alternatives. The promotion of chasing seasonal clothing trends, stuffing closets full, overspending and conscienceless consumerism is what makes cheap fashion so costly. Also, not many of us need the red carpet how-to’s.
I do appreciate her unapologetic, uncompromising, and gentle faith, introducing her readers to Jesus and why the Bible has an impact on her daily life.
Having previewed this book for a teen, I cannot say it would be of much encouragement or inspiration, fashion or otherwise.

Read the whole thing while getting my nails done - such an easy read but also a fun read if you love DJ Tanner!

I wanted to like this book a lot. I’m at a career turning point and wanting to revamp my wardrobe, so I hoped this book would give me some ideas. The book does offer some good organizations tips, staple wardrobe piece ideas, etc. And, I’m a huge fan of Candace Cameron...but I couldn’t overlook how this book was written from such an overwhelming point of privilege.

Not for me. and not what I was expecting. I am adicted to fashion books, but this was not realistic at all. What real life person needs tips on what to wear on the red carpet? The makeup section just told what Candace did, not a How Too. I probably should have known better.

I thought this was a really, really lovely book! I picked it up mostly because I love Candace from her work on film/tv, but it was such a fun read. I think initially I thought this was a memoir, so at first I was disappointed not to have many personal stories included in this. But then I realized that this is much more of a self-help coffee table type book. For what it is, I think Candace (and her team) did a great job of hitting major aspects of women's lives that all deserve equal attention, from style to self-care to family to working out. Every section started with a nice introduction from Candace and then was filled to the brim with tips and tricks, as well as awesome photos. While I felt like this was geared toward an older demographic, I still took away a lot from this book, and was glad to see I'm on a good path with many of the things I already do. Something I also really liked about this was the fact that you can tell Candace stays true to herself in her life, and I'm talking about more than the faith aspects. She shares a lot about why she does what she does and also encourages the reader to adapt or modify according to what firs THEIR lives. I loved that. She's not know-it-ally in the advice she gives but instead is just sharing what she does to live her best life. I've read a lot of these types of books, and Candace's is one of the few I've finished feeling positive about my own choices and encouraged to try out some new things she's shared. Overall, awesome book, and I'd love to read a memoir style book from her as well. (p.s.: the built in bookmark on this was fantastic, wish more books had that.)

I loved everything about this book. It was filled with practical application of healthy living. She even gives you style tips that aren't impossible or expensive.

This book was very pretty and fun to look at. I didn’t really learn anything new from it, but this would make a great gift for a young woman just starting her own professional career and trying to build a wardrobe.
