I am usually an avid reader, but thought I would try listening to an audiobook on my work travels. And why not start with a book on my 'to read' list.
I'm a fan of Winters' writing style, but to hear it in voices, there were times when I wasn't sure what was being vocalised, or what was a thought.
This was a cute storyline, but to me it felt like more of a summary, missing chances to go into detail and add to the characters' journey.

Really enjoyed this read! Grace was a successful & busy woman. She learned at 30 that she was in the early stages of menopause. But she knew she wanted to have children. Grace didn’t have a man in her life. But she spent a lot of time at a local bar. The owner/bartender Charlie became her close friend/confidant. Charlie’s family always pressured him to find a girlfriend. Charlie asked Grace to be his fake girlfriend. Could they make it through his sister’s wedding?

Grace and Charlie
It starts with he took her to a wedding as his date and now they’re having sex but he doesn’t want commitment and she does and he knows this will be a one night thing but he’s thinking he wants more than that. And then it goes to the beginning of the story when Grace finds out she’s in premenopausal and if she wants kids she needs to do it soon. She goes to her favorite bar to get a drink and ogle the cute owner and bartender charlie who has zero plans of settling down so he’s just eye candy. Charlie loves when Grace comes in but he knows she wants to settle down. He’s never thought about settling down or kids. She tells him briefly about what she found out at the doctors. She works as a graphic designer and one of her co workers Diane asks her out for drinks to Macs, Charlie’s bar. She agrees at first until she gets a message from Jason on tinder asking her on a date and when she ditched Diane, Diane turns into a bitch. We don’t like her already. At Charlie’s family dinner a girl named Susanne is brought up and I’m wondering if she’s the reason he doesn’t want to settle down or start a family. He was engaged to her and she slept with his best friend!!! 5 years later and he says the pain is mostly gone but he’s not stupid. 5 years since he took the ring back, showed Susanne the door and kicked Adams ass. Grace went on the date with Jason and it was awful. She left and went to macs. She told Charlie about her date and he told her how his family wants yo set him up with someone at his sisters wedding so he lies and tells them he’s seeing someone. Grace says to send a pic with her to get them off his back but then they really want him to bring her to the wedding. She agrees but doesn’t tell him what he owes her but he knows she wants a night tangled in his sheets. He’d give it to her every night if she’d just ask. She wanted to tell him she wants him to knock her up

It's all fun and games until reality sets in. Charlie needs a date for his sister's wedding so his family will get off his back. Grace, who just happens to be a patron in his bar because she feels connected to him, decides she will become that date. But when sparks fly will charlie see this relationship for what it is? Or will the baggage in his past keep him from finding his HEA? The reader will fall in love with Grace and Charlie from the opening pages. Honest emotions and a feel good storyline makes this a great read from Willow Winters and Vivian Woods, but be prepared to read it all at once because once you start it you will not be able to put it down.

I loved every minute of this story. Before I even opened it, the title had me excited. The story behind it didn’t disappoint one bit. Willow Winters came in teasing with that prologue that left you eager for the more. You’ll need your fans at the ready because Charlie and Grace’s story was steamy with a capital s but there was some emotion packed underneath as well. I heartily devoured every word and did not want to see their story end.

Charlie and Grace were so great together and I hated seeing them both struggling in this fake relationship because Charlie has been burned before and Grace wants something real that will last. They agree to a fake relationship and through it they become closer but at the same time you can tell it is slowly hurting Grace because her attraction is starting to turn into more but Charlie is still extremely hesitant. I loved both characters and was rooting for them but will last insecurities and the need for more come in between them or can they make things work?
