Follows Hazel a private detective in New York who is given the opportunity of a lifetime when a case comes across her desk that can pay her enough to further her career and her life. It’s an impossible case but what does she have to lose? Some twists and turns and all in all a good read. Great pace not overly descriptive which I am thankful for just a good book.

I love a good psychological thriller!
This book is being released on Feb. 26th 2024

We follow an investigator - Hazel - as she takes on a new job that FINALLY is something interesting. She is hired to find this woman's missing (orphaned) granddaughter. To do so, Hazel has to find a mysterious orphanage haunted by a dark past.

If you're looking for a thriller that keeps you guessing, this is it. It's fast and enjoyable.

Thank you, NetGalley, for sending me this ARC - my opinions are my own.

I was enamored with this book. When I read a mystery/crime, psychological thriller. As a reader I feel like I have to figure it out. I pay close attention to all details and this book was very good. I enjoyed the mystery of who is doing what. Hazel Cho the FMC did not know who to trust and that was
put to the test. She is a P.I., a woman and of Asian decent and only 5 ft tall she was very rarely taken seriously. Not having people knocking down her door and she is just trying to make ends meet. So when I woman demands her help and produces the cash and a car to do her research she has no choice to take the job. With a ridiculous time frame given from the client she has 2 weeks the find the person that she wants found has been missing for 6 months. The lies start stacking up and the trail is getting road blocked at every turn. Time is running out and it is coming down the the wire.
