I did enjoy this series as a whole, this 3rd book though lost a star because it was a little scattered around. It feels like the plot switched a couple times back and forth.

Is she trying to solve a murder? Or is she trying to lift a curse? Or is she trying to cook a meal?

I do love the chemistry between Emilia and Wrath, and a lot of questions were answered. Even questions I did not have, but I wish it would have been a little less all over the place.

Otherwise, 100% recommend this series altogether, I did thoroughly enjoy the read and would read it again.

I have been trudging through this book for a year now. I should’ve given up but its really hard for me to mark  anything DNF. Especially if I’m going to rate it. I feel like i should read it all the way through in order to do that. I simply couldn’t finish it in the end.

It lost all it’s luster. I stopped caring about the romance, it felt overdone at this point and the plot was weak. The “great reveal” wasn’t seamless. Overall, there was too much discussion on what might happen and not enough action.

A great disappointment as I loved the first book and the second made me highly anticipate this one.

Extremely boring, writing was not good, smut was bad, really generic and cookie-cutter new adult fantasy that felt like it was reaching for tiktok virality over actual quality. Emilia and wrath are freaks (derogatory). And this is coming from someone who has previously liked this author's work and really wanted to like these books.

This book was deeply disappointing. I gave the first two books in the series 4 stars and waited by the window all day for the finale to be delivered. But this was not good at all.

The plot made absolutely no sense. It felt like the author was grasping at straws and then frantically trying to make it make sense, but it just didn’t match up to the plot laid out in the first two books.

The characters were completely different. Emilia apparently had a personality transplant while Wrath had the personality of a vanilla wafer.

And the sex…I saw a review from a young teenager saying they were completely caught off guard by the explicit nature of this book. I agree- you shouldn’t go from cute romance in the first two books to extremely sexualized in the last book without a warning label, especially when you have young readers in your audience. This is marketed as young adult but it’s definitely more NA/Adult…or whatever 50 Shades of Grey is!

Here’s my warning label to you: BEWARE, this book is the most disappointing series finale I’ve read in a long time.
