OH MY BEATING HEART!!! This book was
EVERYTHING I could ever hope for and MORE!! Hands down one of my favorite romance books EVER!! WHAT A SWEET, FUN, HILARIOUS, HEARTWARMING, WHOLESOME, EMOTIONAL, HEARTBREAKING, MAGICAL, CHARMING AND BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN MASTERPIECE!!! Georgie, All Along has your grumpy guy/Sunshine girl trope, forced proximity (temporary housemates), dual POV, slow burn romance with small town vibes and is packed with witty banter, insane tension, tender moments, incredible chemistry, amazing secondary characters and the cutest dog ever! If all that is not enough to convince you to read this book then let me tell you more! Is it a love story? Yes, but with an abundance of immeasurable depth! The story is about family, career, friendships, love, regrets, forgiveness, personal growth and living in the moment without having to have your life completely figured out. This is my first read by Kate Clayborn and I can safely say it will not be my last! I absolutely LOVED this book so much and is easily one of my favorite romance books for 2024!!πŸ©·πŸ’›πŸ©·πŸ’›πŸ©·

Following an unexpected job loss, Georgie decides to return to her hometown, seeking solace and a new beginning. The plan was for Georgie to stay at her parent's house while they were away, but to her surprise, her wonderful absent-minded parents forgot to mention they had already offered up the empty house to someone else. Levi, the unexpected guest, happens to be the older brother of her high school crush. When she rediscovers a "friendfic" diary she wrote in high school, filled with the possible lives she imagined for herself, she starts to question and reflect on the changes in her life, pondering what happened to the person she used to be. Is it too late to become that girl again? To find out, Georgie just might have to pick herself up, dust off some of those teenage ambitions, and see what they spark!!

Overall, I was completely captivated from start to finish! If you enjoy Katherine Center's books then you will love this story. Please read this book because you will not regret it!! I cannot recommend it enough and it
deserves all the starsπŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«!!!!

After my reread, I'm still loving this book and all of the characters in it. I don't normally write full reviews but I feel like I need to convince more people to read this. So here goes -

Georgie feels lost now that she's suddenly lost her PA job and she's trying to "find herself." She's got the privilege to be able to go back to her hometown, live at home, and help her best friend through the last part of her pregnancy. Even so, she's always felt like she didn't fit in there.

She finds herself in a roommate situation since her spacey (but oh so kind and caring) parents also allowed Levi Fanning to stay at their home when his is going under construction. Levi keeps to himself after a past history of trouble-making in a close-by small town. So we have two opposites coming together because somehow they understand each other.

But what I love about this book is not centered just around the romance. I'm a big, big fan of Georgie and her relationships. I love her friendship with Bel and how she is with her parents. I love Levi's restraint in making new relationships and his journey to repairing some. I think Kate Clayborn does an amazing job with these characters - making them feel like real people.

And I love the bucket list feel and component. In order to figure herself out, Georgie thinks she needs to fulfill this list she found that she and Bel were supposed to do in High School and just never got to.

Anyways, I'll shut up now, but I highly recommend this book to those who like contemporary romance with some spice. It's dual POV and it's highly enjoyable to read these two fall in love but also love themselves more.

Enjoyed the finding yourself arc from the main characters ~ wish there had been more side character development.

A Hallmark movie in a book and I enjoyed the read/listen. This is my 2nd book by Kate Clayborn and I wasn't disappointed. The writing is engaging, light, funny but also serious when it needs to be. She covers important topics such as environmental concerns, gentrification, dysfunctional families and job loss, but it's not heavy handed just matter of fact. It's worth the read in my opinion.
