Erik Hanberg, you played me in all the ways.

And I loved it.

Stellar mindboggling scifi.

Everyone read it.

You can get it in this very awesome scifi bundle right now :).

I quite liked this book. But it was missing something and I'm not sure what.

It was so imaginative and creative. I never would have thought mind control possible but this book made me believe even just for a few hours while reading this that I could one day communicate without speaking and could look back at the past historical figures of society like cleopetra and read her thoughts etc. Fasinating concept.

I really enjoyed this book! It hooked me with excellent writing (with only a couple of typos!) and a fascinating Big-Brother-style premise. It was well-executed overall, even if the action scenes at the end were a little too detailed to be snappy.

The main problem I had with this book, which will keep me from reading the rest of the series (aside from the fact I have to pay for them), was the adult content. In my mind, it's not really necessary to use the f-word at all, but especially not ten or fifteen times in a book. We also don't need the sex scenes, even to show a major issue with the futuristic tech. I promise you can write a fantastic, realistic story without using excess profanity or sex scenes!

The author did a great job with his worldbuilding and characterization; usually this genre is full of mediocre fiction that isn't awful, but isn't high-quality--The Lead Cloak breaks that trend in favor of high-quality material. Kudos to the author!

Super great story!

This was a great book. I really enjoyed the whole thing. The twists were well placed and carried the story at a good pace.

My favorite part of the book was the first half, as the author explored the implications of this technology (the Lattuice) and how it affected people. The second half of the book though was severely lacking, and I found a lot of the character moments interesting in concept but not in execution.

However, this is a really good showing for an indie book I got for 89 cents so I am definitely positive towards this book. But it wasn’t for me.

However the cliffhanger had me wanting reading more so, maybe I’ll be doing that…

I thought it was smart the way the author depicted the future, it made me think a lot about today the way any good dystopian future novel should.
The story on its own though is a little one dimensional but it's still an enjoyable read.

Wow - the Lattice is a mind blowing technology created by the author. Reading about this just set off my imagination in so many different directions. The author really created a very interesting premise and I enjoyed reading about the first book, learning about how the lattice had shaped the world up to 2081. If you like this genre of book, it is definitely worth reading.

Stands well on its own, but I'm also looking forward to seeing where the trilogy goes.

Really enjoyed this book. It's the kind of sci-fi I enjoy most: a really well-imagined and rich future world, with lots of insights about the way people would live in this world woven into the story.
Also elements of crime and mystery, really good pace, and some surprises.

Strongly recommend!
