That was so fun to read although I ain’t a huge fan of sunshine/grumpy but I really did enjoy it.
I also loved the dual narration and loved Shepeard’s voice (He was a unicorn indeed),
At times i needed some psychological depth but that’s just my taste, as well I ain’t fan of the girl changing the guy tropes. I am more inclined to when the two mc evolve together. The sex scenes was nice and it was refreshing to see that Everly has a small kinky side, didn’t expect that, liked that we got an insight when she handled her colleague perfectly. Unfortunately I didn’t feel the sexual tension but I felt the love between them both overall my t was a fun and fast paced read

I love romance, but for every good romance I find, there's at least 20 like this. It gets frustrating sometimes.
Very simple, almost childish characters and ideas. Simple writing that takes a long time to say very little. All surface ideas, no subtext. The plot becomes everything because there's nothing else - but the plot isn't creative either. No understanding of how people connect or even how desire really works.
I really should have stopped reading this the first time I wanted to at less than 10% in. But sometimes things improve so I tried this time. Note to self, life's too short, just give up.

Light and enjoyable. And I do love a 'fake relationship' trope.

4.5⭐️ I started reading this book on a whim because I was looking for a fun, lighthearted romance audiobook. Although I love and primarily read romance, I’m frequently disappointed by romance books.

This one is what a solid romance should be in my eyes. It was highly entertaining, the characters were fun and I felt connected to them, it was hot, the romance was actually cute and didn’t make me roll my eyes, and it didn’t drag on. Sooooo many romance books drag on and have long stretches where I just don’t care what’s going on and I want to snooze. This was very well paced and not boring at all (I was able to read it in 24 hours). The story was truly so much fun and I loved the chemistry between Everly and Shepherd.

Sure, multiple parts of the story were highly unrealistic. When is fake-dating ever realistic? I’ve never heard of anyone plotting a fake-dating scheme in my entire life lol. I don’t read my romance books for realism, I read them for entertainment and escapism, so I don’t care!!

Listening to the audiobook was a great experience. The female narrator was pretty good overall, but her narration during

Really enjoyed this rom com! Everly has a terrible dating history and her sister and sister in law have asked that Everly ask her billionaire, grumpy boss for sperm donation. Shepherd just dumped a gold digger and now needs a fake girlfriend since his dad is now dating his ex! He calls his assistant, Everly to help him out. I love a good fake dating then engagement story! The steam was pretty good but didn’t come in until after the halfway mark. There was no miscommunication, but the 3rd act break up wasn’t necessary and didn’t add anything to the story.

I also thought the sperm donation subplot was strange.

Overall, a fun read!
