I bought this book for my friends daughter.
These are great books for little girls, stories about facing adversity, being pioneers in their industry and sheds light on famous women that they can look up to.
Great illustrations too

This one was pretty boring. Amelia Earhart lived, she got interested in planes, proved that women are not worse than men in piloting (without any specific details or stories) and then she dissapeared never to be found again. This is one of those books that could have been just a line.

I was obsessed with Amelia Earhart as a kid, so that may be why I’m judging this one too harshly. I thought it could have told more about her. I didn’t think it had as much info as some of her other ones have had, but I enjoyed it all the same.

Beautifully illustrated by Mariadiamantes. Translated by Raquel Plitt. I felt this one was aimed at a younger audience than some of the other books in the series.

I love this series, it provides a great introduction to biographies for preschoolers. Most juvenile biographies are written for older children so this one gets a few stars in my book just because the intended audience is much younger. The illustrations are especially lovely in this one and suit the simple text well. I like that it doesn't dwell on or skirt around Amelia Earhart's tragic end and that despite it, the author ends with a positive message about following your dreams.

I've been waiting for over a year for this book to get to me from the library! Odd, as our library is entirely on top of things.
In any case, a wonderful look at a hero of mine!
