Una muy buena continuación, el único problema fue que la primera parte del libro se me hizo muy lenta.

Another engaging book in this series. I liked this one a bit better than the first one (more character development and the plot twists and turns kept me wanting to read on). It was a bit long (560ish pages) so it dragged a bit from time to time. Unfortunately, the ending was another cliff-hanger, so I'll have to wait to see what happens!

I went into this book not remembering very much from Partials. Unfortunately, there was very little recap and I ended up resorting to an internet search to figure out what was going on.
The plot was pretty involved and it was definitely a book that made me think. The author provided lots of food for thought. I enjoyed the moral arguments in this book.
Unfortunately, there were several things I didn't enjoy so much. For one, the characters were very underdeveloped and there was never enough time devoted to building them up. Plus, I know this was the point, but Samm came off as very robotic. It was hard for me to think of him as a human.
There wasn't very much growth in the character's relationships and I wasn't buying the romance.
The story dragged a lot and it was very easy for me to put this book down. I'm not sure if I'll finish the series. To be honest, the only reason why I picked up the second book was because I was running low on book recommendations. This wasn't a terrible read, but there are better out there.
2.5 Stars.

Kira and Samm had very poor communication. How on earth did they fall in love? To me, it was like two people who speak two different languages falling in love, or more likely, lust. The story dragged a lot and it was very easy for me to put this book down. Well, that was awesome. The characters were incredible (I loved Kira), and they developed so well throughout the book. The plot was just as great as the first book. And the way the book ended was perfect. It wasn't an explicit cliffhanger, but the ending left you wanting more!

It took me awhile to remember what was going on in this series. I liked that it answered a lot of questions from the first book, and I enjoyed the adventure that Kira and Samm took, but I honestly didn't really care much about the rest of it.

equally the most brilliant and frustrating book I have read this year. raises many interesting moral questions and provides all sides of the argument allowing the reader to make up their own mind. brilliant.

This is the sequel to Partials, which I remember liking but couldn't remember exact details of. So I jumped into this one hoping I'd catch up. I think I did, but there is probably some stuff from the first book that I've totally forgotten.
I like the story and found myself interested in what was happening to the main characters in this devastated world. I like that they are basically trying to save the human race. However, my gripe is that I kept confusing story lines from this book with other YA dystopian books such as Insurgent and Starters. Which makes me think the ideas aren't original enough to differentiate itself from other similar books.
I'm not sure if it will be worth reading the 3rd book in this series as I can't see it doing much different than almost every other dystopian series.

- Most of the book is very slow with not a lot going on. Kira is mostly by herself, and there is a lot of traveling.
- I almost wanted to quit the book a couple times because NOTHING WAS HAPPENING! I'm glad I stuck with it though. The ending was awesome!
- I like all the characters, but I'm not sure we need all the characters. I don't really care what Marcus is doing. Is he that vital to the story?
- A lot of this book could have been cut, but the ending was worth it.
