DID NOT FINISH: 33%

DNFing at 33% because... Eh.

It's like the movie Hot Frosty but I'm more worried about what will happen at the museum, what with the missing statue that's worth millions, rather than with the romance.

There wasn't anything particularly annoying about it, just some somewhat cringy moments. The dream was both hot and cringe fest. And they are basically in love already. It feels like we've read all there's to read. The abundance of historical vibes is cool.

The library loan is due in 4 days and I feel no rush to finish it so I'll let it go.

I know it wouldn't be everyone cups of tea, but it was like the movie Knight Before Christmas on Netflix. Only, it isn't Christmas and he turned into a real man from a statue (1400's) versus traveling in time. The MMC use of old English language was hilarious and I love how sweet he was with the FMC.

If you’re in the mood for silly, this book is for you. So Emily works in a museum restoring art pieces after a bad divorce. Griffin was originally a knight who was cursed to become a statue. The entire premise is silly but a lot of fun. The dialogue is funny and light hearted and because of Griffin’s fish out of water situation, we get a number of misunderstandings and miscommunication moments that are humorous and critical to the plot.

I think this is a perfect novel to kind of check out of reality for a few hours. The dialogue is enjoyable and the plot for the most part moves fairly quickly. There is very little while they won’t they. From the very beginning it’s clear that they are into each other. Emily does have a few insecurities given her recent divorce and cheating ex, but Griffin is really sweet and quick to come to her defense.
