I really liked this. I guessed who the bad person was fairly early on but still enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and I think I'll read the others in this series. This was my first Lori Foster book and I'm sure it won't be my last.

This was a good romantic suspense, aye, this was really good :) Romance, suspense, well that says it.

Dare is a good. A really good guy, damn he was so sweet. I just want to hug him.

Molly was brave, I would have been a broken crying mess. But then we learn why she has stayed strong before. It's in her.

They meet under the worst circumstances as he saves her from hell. So it's not all I love you! No, she is strong but still she has been through hell and he wants to find the assholes who had this done to her. But it's romance too so they grow closer and fall in love, and still he was so sweet. Gotta love him

I had heard her books were good and so they were. This was def one of the better romantic suspense books I have read, if not the best.

WOW! Sexy and suspenseful, my two favorite qualities in a book. I love a great "who done it" and this one had me guessing to the very end. And I must say I didn't want to read it after page 300, because I didn't want the story to end!! Another great quality in a book!!

This was a great story and I read it in 2 days. I loved Dare and Molly, they made great opposites. The idea of human trafficking is at first an odd way to begin a romance but Lori Foster made it work perfectly, giving a background that gives realism to her hero.

This book was really interesting. It was mysterious, action packed, with some romance thrown in the mix.
Dare Macintosh was on a rescue mission for a friend that he considered family. His friend’s sister had been kidnapped and was being held in Tijuana by some guys who were going to sell her. After Dare got her out of there, along with some others there were being held, he noticed another women off to the side, away from everyone else. She was beaten and obviously drugged. He could in good conscious leave here there, so he put her in the back of his van and headed back for the states.

Molly Alexander wakes up in the back of a van, noticing that it didn’t smell like the hell hole that she had been kept for days or weeks, she wasn’t sure. For that matter she doesn’t know if she is even safe. The first thing she sees is Dare’s dangerous looking face asking if she is okay. And how does she repay him? By kicking him the face.

After finally getting cleaned up, feeling more like herself, Molly realizes that she can’t trust anyone. She doesn’t know who had kidnapped her right outside her building. It could be her joke of a father, her ex-fiance (the jackass), or even some angry fans over her last novel. What she does know is that she really needs help figure it out or she will never feel safe again.

Dare just can’t seem to understand Molly. She is determined, keeps saying she is fine, and doesn’t act like a kidnapped victim at all. He keeps waiting for her to fall apart and succumb to all the memories from her confinement, but she keeps surprising him by pushing forward. By even hiring him to find out who kidnapped her.

The story keeps taking twist and turns at almost every chapter, making you wonder who did organize her kidnapping. Once you start to think ‘Maybe they did it’, the story takes another twist and you get some more suspects in the mix.

There is some romance, but nothing over powering that takes away from all the great mystery and action sequences. But there are some wonderful moments when Miss Foster describes what Dare looks like without his shirt on….and it is kind of wonderful. It makes me want to have a dangerous, scared, dark haired, buff man of my own.

My only negative that I have to say about it is that when it started to get closer to the end of the book, I figured out who the kidnapper was before they revealed it. Mainly because she had a scene that was way too telling. If that were but out, then it would have been a complete surprise at the end.

For those of you who like mystery, action, amazing writing, and some romance mixed in between, this is a great book for you.

I can't wait for the next book to come out.

When You Dare
3 Stars

Synopsis:
On a mission to recover his friend’s sister from human traffickers, professional mercenary, Dare Macintosh, rescues a badly beaten Molly Alexander. Intelligent and independent, Molly is not your usual victim and she hires Dare to help her track down those responsible for her abduction. As the suspects pile up and the danger increases, Dare becomes the only person Molly can trust but can he save her from the looming threat?

Review:
A little disappointing after all the hype. The basic premise of human trafficking is interesting but most of the action takes place before the book even begins. The rest of the story lacks tension and suspense and the ending is predictable. Hard Evidence by Pamela Clare offers a far more in-depth and detailed look at this theme and is a more intense and exciting read.

While Molly and Dare have steamy chemistry, their character development is problematic. There is too much focus on their internal thoughts, emotions, and motivations. Molly's reaction to her ordeal is unrealistic - no one could possibly be that stoic after the torture and abuse she suffered. Dare is very sexy but seems too laid back, sweet and caring to be a mercenary and is more in line with law enforcement.

Finally, the villain is obvious and the motivation for the crime is bewildering and even trivial.

Nevertheless, the writing flows and the romance is sweet. So if you are interested in a light read to take your mind off things then this fits the bill. I will probably read the next one if I come across it at a used book store but I won’t be going out of my way to get it.

It's been a long time since I've read any steamy novels...and this was one great way to get back into the fray. Exciting, smart and funny...kept me riveted enough to read until 2AM two nights in a row just to get as far as I could. Already have the next two books in the series on hold at the library.

No me equivoque en decir que la protagonista me gustaría desde el principio, no es la damisela en apuros y admiro eso. La historia te atrapa desde un principio me encanto eso, mientra mas leía mas atrapada me sentía y Dare me enamoro así de simple.
