One with the odd narrative style -I did this, then I did that - which is not so much my thing.
Spencer and Dylan meet in the midst of bloodshed and the story is how nerdy computer genius Spencer can reconcile being attracted to the manager of a male brothel.
It was OK, the dastardly deeds going on were solved but I’m not certain if who we are led to believe was behind them really was, or where he was. Also, can Spencer really be happy being connected to a gang of some description.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I really don't like starting books in the middle of a series, but if it is considered a standalone then I am OK with it. It was stated that this book could be read as a standalone. While I could agree and say that the overall story didn't need the previous stories in order to be fully understood, I definitely felt like I was missing something by not at least reading book 3 ([b:Choosing Happy|20895061|Choosing Happy (More Than Friends, #3)|Aria Grace|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393224265s/20895061.jpg|40238196]-Steve and Joey's story)...which sounds like it needs Books 1 and 2 ([b:More Than Friends|16240204|More Than Friends (More Than Friends, #1)|Aria Grace|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1354734513s/16240204.jpg|22245404] and [b:Drunk in Love|20647672|Drunk in Love (More Than Friends, #2)|Aria Grace|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1390937733s/20647672.jpg|39941157]-Zach and Ryan's stories). It wasn't a big something, but I wished I better understood the relationships and backgrounds between the friends.

That said, the story was enjoyable. I liked Dylan and Spencer. Spencer was the shy, nerdy, rich guy and Dylan was the tough, buff, sexy body guard. It did surprise me a little bit that Dylan was as "clueless" as he was made out to be in the beginning, while seeming very smart and put together throughout the rest of the book. When the two finally got together, they were HOT! There was some nice action/mystery added to the story to give it a little more substance, too. That was enjoyable.

One thing I did like was having the POV with a little bit of overlap. I know for some it could get repetitive, but I thought it gave me a little more insight into the other persons POV during parts and I enjoyed that.

This was probably more of a 3.5 star read for me, but I am rounding up. I liked this book.

The conflict in this one concerns the different lifestyles of the two main characters. A tough bodyguard and a super rich computer geek. As usual the wider cast of characters are just as interesting as the main two, and you get a few glimpses of previous couples. The phone sex scene stood out for me.

**I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.**

So this is more of a 3.5 but I have rounded up to a 4. What an interesting group of guys. Dylan and Spencer met rather unconventionally at the end of book 3 [bc:Choosing Happy|20895061|Choosing Happy (More Than Friends, #3)|Aria Grace|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393224265s/20895061.jpg|40238196] so you should read that book before you try this one. Dylan has now been given more responsibility over the business now but I have to say that Dylan and his crew are not very clever criminals. That business with the cameras... shocking. Just from watching crime shows on television, I would have known what should have been done. However, it is the individual characters that mesmerize you. Spencer was adorkable with his geeky, stuttering self. Spencer is Steve's friend. I really liked him and his reaction to Dylan. And the secondary characters, Georgie and Andre really made an impression on me. I hope we get books about them. But Dylan was an enigma to me. Though the book is written in dual POVs, I still didn't connect with Dylan well. Almost as if his personality was one dimensional. I wonder if this is a trait in this author's books, but the relationship seemed to develop rather quickly. Now this wasn't insta-love in the least but I didn't really feel their togetherness. Not sure if that's making sense. It might be because they spend some time apart for a good portion of the book. We also don't get lots of sexy time. They have some phone sex but I wanted man on man love!! We do see Steve and Joey from book 3 and Joey is still the cutest. And my final quibble, if you will, is the random stuff that goes on - fires, drugging, Dylan's sister, Heather and her stuff - it didn't all make a lot of sense.
Why did these bad guys want Andre??? To help them start their own forgery business??
. All in all, I wanted just a little more story and more of a meaningful connection between the MCs and a lot more sexy time. But the guys - Spencer, Steve,Joey, Andre, Georgie, even Dylan and the new hottie we meet, Patton, are all an excellent reason to read the book. Onto to book 5..
