I read half the book in one night.

I loved this book. I read this book my last year of high school, and while it is a work of fiction it really opened up my eyes to a world so different that the one than the bubble I grew up in. This book is what got me started down a path toward social work and a fight to make sure that everyone is loved, cared for, and safe. I have bought this book multiple times because I keep giving it away! I highly suggest you read it, and let is challenge you to see things differently.

Heartbreaking and heartwarming - Kittle manages to juxtapose grief and love in equal measure. The prose is beautiful. This is an AMAZING book.

This book was super difficult to read with its disturbing subject matter. Honestly I picked up the book thinking it would be a light read, but was I ever so wrong. I finished the book because I became interested in finding out how things turned out for Jordan.

This book is purely amazing! Its about a very tough topic and surprisingly written not by a victim herself. The way Katrina Kittle lays the words on the page, one would think she writes from experience. As a mom, I found myself feeling everything that Sarah did and hurting for Jordan just as I would my own children. This is a difficult read by nature of the subject but so worth every word!

Once I got used to the simplistic writing style, I really enjoyed it. Books o this subject are always a hard read and my heart broke for the characters.

I really enjoyed this suspenseful book about Jordan the victim of his parent's pornography and of the family that takes him in.

This book is a must-read. It's utterly heartbreaking and depressing and the subject matter is really, really hard. Which makes it sound awfully unappealing, but no - it was amazingly good and there were definitely uplifting parts, and the sum total of the book was just lovely. It was so utterly REAL, so well-written... There were literally nights that I couldn't get to sleep because I kept thinking about the story, worrying about the characters... I would have to stop and remind myself that it wasn't real, they weren't real people. It just hit me that hard. Anyway, I highly, highly recommend this book, though be warned, again, that the subject is difficult and that sometimes you will get so horrified you'll want to throw the book at the wall, because how can such things be allowed to occur??? Then you just have to remind yourself that it's only a story and maybe go donate money to the foundation that Kittle talks about in her acknowledgments.

This book deals with the difficult topic of child sexual abuse. I thought it was very well done and the author did a brilliant job of explaining the characters from multiple sides. The horrific actions affect so many beyond the immediate victims.
