It’s fine, and I’m really disappointed in this series as an avid Tessa Bailey lover

more like a 3.75 but def an enjoyable read. I love me a grumpy sunshine trope. Pretty sure Duke is the reason I'm swiping right on some sexy, big, beefy dudes. I could def use a man like him situating me all over the place.

Loooooove me some Tessa! Worked Up was on my TBR list for a while, but you know, life happened. I’m so glad I decided to read it! Duke, our PMB, was perfect! He was just the right combination of dominant, adoring, rough, gentle. .. I could go on and on. Samantha was a weird combination of innocent and dirty at the same time. Hard to pull off, but of course Tessa Bailey can do it! The siblings, all of them, both sides, were pretty annoying. I didn’t feel like they added much to the story, didn’t really advance it much. Renner sucked, for now... I wish this book could have been longer, with more details fleshed out (the wedding, the factory, more of Samantha’s back story). Otherwise, I loved it!

Again with my Made in New Jersey Tessa Bailey audiobook package... I knew this would have something to do with Hook, NJ and the factory that everyone seems to work in there, but everything else was a mystery going in!

Samantha is Hook factory owner Renner's sister by marriage. The two have a deal that if she gets married he will lend her the money to start her dream business. The only issue is that she's terrified of commitment and the guy Renner wants her to marry has been away for three years. When she found out Hudson was returning to Manhattan, she ran to Hook and almost into the arms of Duke, factory machinery mechanic. He doesn't know why he feels instantly so possessive of Sam, but he can't shake it. He's a commitment phobe too, but when he hears about Samantha's marriage dilemma, he's all in to put a ring on it.

This was decent. It kept me intrigued for a while but I think I'm getting tired of this series and I still have one more book to go! 😩 Duke was a great, hyper masculine male lead.

Read if you like:
✅ Marriage of convenience
✅ He falls first
✅ Alpha male

Y’all already know the grumpy/sunshine trope is my absolute favorite. Paired with marriage of convenience? Chefs kiss!

Duke is everything

Duke is everything; large, hairy, beastly, commanding. Probably my favorite alpha male with the biggest freaking heart. And Samantha is lovely, quirky, sweet, and just naughty enough. Tessa’s character descriptions are so good and the sex scenes even better.
