When you don't know where Quinn is, look for charity events.

This book is not bad (see I gave it 4 stars) but it's soooo unrealistic in almost every aspect. But it's a book, with imaginary characters, so I just got over it!

BANG!
We’re shot off at the very beginning, and there’s very little slow down through the entirety of this one. I thought for sure my heart would beat right out of my chest, the way this author put me through the ringer.
Emotions were touched, one minute I was sad, the next I was on a high.

The bad guys... I can usually pinpoint where they’re coming from, but I didn’t see this twist, and I don’t think that’s all the author has in store for us. I know there’s more books to follow, but this one didn’t leave us too bad off, although I still need more.

Honestly I am kind of confused, the overall story is kind of interesting but the way this story is written a bit awkward especially the intimate scenes between Kash and Bailey. I don't understand why this is labeled as NA but it the intimate scenes are written in such a lukewarm manner or skipped over entirely. Instead of showing the attraction between the main characters, we're told about it through exposition when a character talks about an intimate encounter that's supposedly happened but the author didn't write down. And the couple of intimate scenes that are actually shown in the last third of the book, are incredibly awkwardly and poorly written. I hope the rest of the series isn't written like this. Honestly, you could have just labeled this YA, the way this book is written it shouldn't be in the new adult category, it's incredibly misleading.

Tijan is an automatic 1-click, must read type of author. She has great writing style and really captures your attention with The characters and the plot. She has once again done a wonderful job in writing a wonderful book!

The Insiders was intense and captivating! The mystery was a big factor to draw you in. There were twists and turns that just when you thought you figured something out, it played out differently. Tijan has you thinking it could be one way but goes in the complete opposite direction. The characters really grab your attention with all their traits. Not only the main character, Bailey, is an attraction, the supporting characters have a lot within themselves as well. Bailey was definitely a different type of character for me. I love how she was invested into computers and hacking, that is a very special skill so to see her that smart and talented, I am in awe. She was also determined. Tijan did a great job of pulling Bailey’s emotions and letting you feel them. You got to feel the happiness, the heartache, the hurt, the excitement. It’s interesting to watch her navigate a new world of where she doesn’t quite fit in but at the same time does fit in. Reading Bailey form relationships with her siblings is endearing. You can feel the emotion and connection INSTANTLY between Bailey and Kash! Their relationship was full of angst and swooning. He was so protective over her! He was definitely broody, but in the best way. This was definitely a book I enjoyed.

This book was really exciting in all of its mystery and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for more of this world! Tijan set it up perfectly with the ending to make you question and wonder what’s going to happen next. I definitely recommend this book for all!

"Kids who grew up wanting nothing, who had the power to get anything. They could use people for their games."

Please take my rating with a grain of salt - if alpha males and insta-attraction is your jam, head on over to those 4 and 5 star reviews.....

As for me, I just didn't feel a pull in to this story. It really starts with a bang - and I was intrigued to start. But quickly we got into the day to day mundane stuff of life and the story slowed way down. I wasn't terribly interested in the family or Bailey getting to know anyone. Her days of lock down and the orgies she witnessed with Matt were just distractions in a story that didn't seem to be going anywhere.

Finally around the 80% mark, the action picked back up but by then, the story had pretty well lost me. I wasn't into the drama of the two or his backstory. fun, interesting cover, I just wish I'd liked it more.

An e-ARC was provided to me by the author and publishing via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

I love that the FMC, Bailey, is a hacker and tech genius! She knows what she wants, and she goes after it. Her journey of finding out about her dad and being introduced into a life and lifestyle she’s never dreamed of, all while falling in love with the man tasked with keeping her safe, is alternately heartbreaking and cheer-worthy. Can’t wait to read book two to find out what happens next!

Bailey is a genius with an photographic memory I could only dream of. She was raised by her mom, Chrissy, with no background on her father. After an attempt kidnapping, Bailey ends up at Phoenix Tech. The one school she has applied numerous times and has been rejected numerous times. Only to find out her dad and the man she idolized all throughout her childhood is the head of Phoenix Tech, Peter Francis. That's where all the brains comes from. After being hidden and "unknown" for so long, her life changes and not all is good!

Great book... I've had it on my TBR for a while and ready to read book 2!
