Book touted as a "Bridget Jones Diary" reboot.
It seems sadder to me. British girl outgrows anorexia to become alcoholic. Falls into being a writer as well as the beds of all the wrong men.
Tales of drinking, smoking and self loathing promiscuity

I really didn’t like this book . The woman is so annoying and all here funny anecdotes we’re just her struggling and making bad decisions but not in a funny way.
Really related to the raw honesty here, the 20-something panic that nobody seems to talk about. ‘Why don’t I have more friends’, ‘how do people manage to save money’, ‘will I die alone’ etc.
Sure some was cheesy and at parts towards the end felt a little smug, but the stripped down emotion and laid bare narrative really stuck with me.

This book was like the book I read last, Queenie, Except the main character is white not black. I have read one other book by this author which was about her struggles with her mental health and I could definitely see her mental health deteriorating in this book. I thought she came across as having bipolar disorder, although I'm reticent to diagnose given I'm not a mental health professional and I have just read two books by her, she seemed chaotic and her issues with debt and shopping took me in that direction. Anyway I enjoyed this book, I felt for the main character and all the others to be honest. Once again the males of the species do not come across well in this book.
I was happy with the ending and given that this is sort of an autobiography, am happy that Bryony gained some stability. I hope all the guys portrayed in this book recognise themselves and are really embarrassed.
