Did not expect to love this one so much.

I'm not into romances where one partner or the other is cheating. However, I was craving angst and I heard that the husband, despite his cheating, is shown to still deeply love and want his wife. And yes he does.

Knowing that the hero cheats isn't a spoiler. The character and the reader find out chapter 1, page one that he's cheating. What's "fun" is reading the fallout and everything that happens after she finds out.

There were moments where I didn't like Jack, obviously with him cheating, I don't think I'm supposed to love him but I still liked him and it was clear that he loves his wife deeply and the sex with other women wasn't about not loving her. However there weren't many moments where I felt he was sorry for what he was did.

SpoilerI am hoping, that it wasn't really Jack with Alex when Jess and her friends caught him. I know at the end of the chapter, it was stated that it was Jack but I just want him to not be a complete jerk. For the last couple months (I think) she and Jack had been working on being together again, working past the cheating, and I feel it's slap in the face to Jess to go to Alex that night after everything. It just added the extra bit of humiliation to her feelings. I hope it was just someone who looked like him in the shadows and at that distance. It doesn't look good for that being a possibility with him lying about where he was going and who was going to be with that night but I have some hope.

However I want Jess to have at least one night with Cameron. I want Jack to work to get back. Really work for it, not seduce her into complying.

I was so sad to find out that book 2 isn't going to be out until Dec. 24, I need the second book and then the third right now. The ending! I have to wait a month and a half to find out what happens. I may be ignoring my family a bit on Christmas Eve and Christmas just to read book 2.

Good grief, this author sent my emotions off the charts. I’m literally shaking.
How utterly realistic the character of Jess is. A woman who’s been wronged, knows she’s been wronged, but still makes the attempt to put her pieces together the way they were.
And her friends. She definitely has found her tribe in the trio that not only backs her up, but supports her choices, even if they don’t agree with them.
And then Jack. I don’t know if I have enough words for him. I’m torn between his love for his wife and the completely despicable betrayals that we see over the course of the book.
Add in a menacing secret society, a third party to a love triangle, some mistresses and a gala or two and there’s enough happening to keep me occupied for days.
I really can’t wait for more from this author. If she got my blood pumping like this with him one, I can’t even imagine what I’m in for with the next.

Ahhhhhhh! Damn that ending! Literally (mentally) screaming! Omg this damn book is a de mazing! I had moments when I was thinking maybe this isn’t for me. I was getting so mad and frustrated with everything! Jack. Ugh. Jessa. Ugh! Kept going obviously and so glad I did. This book has you instantaneously. And then! Proceeds to drag your heart and mind all around! Constantly had me thinking everything was b***sh**. Jack is horrible and then Jessa was kinda horrible tbh. I didn’t think I could take it. Then finally we and Jessa see the light! There are so many thing I want to rant on about but SPOILERS! Ugh none here. READ IT! JUST. READ. THIS. DAMN. BOOK.

Amazingly addictive and well written. Kind of gave me Eyes Wide Shut vibes.

Unfortunately for me it was a DNF at 30%. I just couldn't even with how well written the prose is. While there is depth and realism in the layered of the story, it wasn't enough to force myself through. There is a lot of angst so if you are into that, I think it effectively displays why people stay with partners who cheat. It is slow, I'm uninspired by Jess and not the fantasy I'm looking to escape into.

I have a love/hate relationship with this series. For one I love the drama ( evil sex club members) /angst (Jessynia can't choose) /even the fucked up characters (Jack loves her so much/Cameron loves her so much) . On the other hand I hate the drama (sex club rules) angst (Jessynia can't make up her mind) and fucked up characters (Jack needs sex with others/Cameron needs kinky bloody sex).

Jessynia is so beautiful and perfect, she literally makes you want to gag on her altruism; at the same time she would have to be to have all these men in love with her. Jack and Cameron are perfect, hot specimens who also happen to be rich and extremely sexually fucked up. All and all it roped me in even if half the time I was like enough with this shit! I also like the writing style of the author for the most part. Even though I am a teacher I don't get too hung up on grammatical or punctual errors, so I know there were some in here, but for the most part I could ignore them. And I myself am no grammar specialist.

Overall it kept me hooked enough to read all the books so far, even if I bitch about it afterwards.
