I loved this book it was fun and an easy read- sterling was such a cute

Some of the dialogue was mega cringe and it took me forever to get though the first chapter but once it’s out of its awkward stage it’s a fun little romance

"Never have I ever" almost DNF'd a book after chapter 2 and end up loving it so much by the end of the book. True story!

I almost missed out on one hell of a fantabulous book. First of all, why did it take me so long to read this? This is what you call New Adult perfection! This had everything I love about college sport romances!

So just to explain the almost DNF: The heroine gets kicked out of the baseball house on Jock Row by none other than the hero himself. Yet she keeps coming back begging to get in and I hate deperate heroines so this was a huge turn off. However, this part of her personality quickly disappears as the book progresses and actually it becomes sort of a running joke between the couple later on.

Rowdy and Scarlett gradually form a friendship on the porch of the baseball house. Each Friday they meet and talk and play games like "Never Have I Ever" and its is the sweetest foreplay. Can you get sexy times with just dialogue?! Yes you can and Sara Ney has perfected it! The anticipation and sexual tension was done SO WELL! I was going crazy. It was THAT GOOD!

I swooned so hard for Rowdy. The sexy Jock who initially appears as a jerk but ends up having this sweet, romantic side to him. I loved this couple SO HARD! The banter was witty and the progression of their relationship from friends to lovers was just perfect. If you are looking for a college sports romance with humor, steam and emotions galore, I hope you try this one. It will not dissappoint!

Over the last year, I’ve slowly being reading through Sara’s Douchebag series and I love them. She’s probably one of my favorite NA romantic comedy authors, and Jock Row solidified that for me. One of the things I loved about Jock Row was the formatting of the story. It was told over the course of several Friday’s, alternating between both Scarlett and Rowdy’s point of view. It was unique, flowed well, and a delight to read. Not only that, it really allowed us to focus on these two characters falling in love. We were there for every part of their story, and I loved that. There’s was a bit of a slow burn too which I found to be delightful.

Characterwise, Scarlett our heroine, came off so weird and ridiculous in the first chapter that it took me a while to really warm up to her. Initially, all I felt for was embarrassment, like when you watch a move and the character is so awkward and cringeworthy you almost have to shut it off. But I pushed through, and once we were through those first few painful minutes, I actually really grew to like Scarlett. She was simply naive to the whole baseball world, which is one of the main things that Rowdy likes about her. It was fun to see to see her grow through the book, and how each Friday she grew just a little braver.

Oh and then we have Rowdy. I have loved every hero that Sara has written, but for me Rowdy takes the cake. He was an absolutely perfect hero for me. He was sweet, cute, and saw past Scarlett’s big bulky sweaters, and awkwardness to truly fall in love with her. He was also funny, and his inner dialogue was spot on. Plus he was continually willing to sit out in the cold to get to know Scarlett, and let the relationship grow and bloom.

Overall, I cannot wait to see what other treasures Ney has in store for us in this series. Jock Row was just an utter delight of an NA sports romance, and I can’t wait for more!

4.25/5 Stars!

I don’t know why I wait so long to listen to Sara’s audiobooks they always leave me happy not only does she have a great sense of humor, but the romance is top notch. The story never feels like it is lacking her characters are always unique and she pick fantastic narrators.

This is not different honestly I love Scarlet's wit and how she isn’t afraid to be herself. And Sterling’s just as much a ham but not in the way you think. He is sweet and sexy in just the right amount of ways. I am so glad I gave this book a shot.

I freaking LOVED THIS BOOK! I'm starting to think Sara Ney is my spirit animal. Every book she writes gives me exactly what I want in a great college romance: Great dialogue, hot chemistry, romance, and some pretty great sexy times!

This book was a bit of a slow burn, but it really helped make this couple more believable and I adored them both. Scarlett was honest and had no problem speaking her mind. Rowdy loved her for her mouth (and many other things) which made me love him even more. These two were just the best!

I can't wait to read more books in the Jock Row series because I already know I'm going to love them all!
