This book started out really good. I could not put it down ! For me, the push and shove between Gabrielle and Paxton got a bit repetitive and although some progress was made I felt like overall he was still a bit of a dick? And not in a good way ! I’m glad I read this book but I doubt I will continue with this series.

I love a dark erotic romance.
There is just something about a book that screams naughty and forbidden. It gets my imagination going and is the perfect escape.
This book leaves you guessing and saying WTF.
You never know what is going to happen next.
I am freaking out waiting for the next book to find out what happens.
Thank you Jettie for an amazing book! Can't wait for $lut!!!

Hands down, one of the BEST mindfucks I've read this year!

I love a book that makes me think. A book where I try, page after page, to figure out all the answers. Reading as much as I do, it’s become more and more difficult to find a book that keeps me guessing… Or in this case, second guessing every theory I could come up with. And, boy oh boy, did I ever second guess myself with this one. There was one point, where my brain was twisted in a knot so tight, that I had to stop and stare off into space for a minute just to wrap my brain around the new revelations.

I had read the blurb (which at the time was very vague), but otherwise I went into this book blind. And I’m so glad I did! So, I’ll do you the same favor and not spoil it for you. What I can tell you is that it’s told in first person present tense and solely from Gabriella’s pov. The characters are interesting and dynamic, the plot flows, and the intrigue is never ending. Seriously, my mind is still spinning with theories. This book did have a cliffhanger, but - thankfully - the next book is out in November. And I CAN’T WAIT to get my hands on it!

Side note:
I’ve had a lot of people ask about this book, so I thought I’d add their questions here:

“How dark is this book?”

I found it to be on the lighter side. But, I’ve read A LOT of dark books, so I might be a bit desensitized. There are some scenes that thread the needle or could be a trigger to some.
SpoilerSome dub-con/non-con, enforced chastity, rough sex and BDSM.
Just know that everything that happens has a reason for being in the story.

“Is there any romance?”

Um… Yes. That’s it. That’s all you're getting. LOL.

I'm really not a fan of any of the characters. Like actually not any of them at all. I think I like Gabby/Izzie after the accident. Either of them before I didn't know or were too manic og Izzie. Anywho. I'm enthralled by this story and I'm about to dive in to the next one. The storyline is what makes this. So many things to figure out!

I’m conflicted. Not a big fan of Paxton. Not in the slightest. Ugh. Typical.

I was so confused at first. I didn’t realize it was supposed to just be a bdsm relationship in the beginning until I started seeing all those gadgets and things come out. Plus, that dang contract Paxton kept bringing up was a dead giveaway. I mean, a contract, really?

The entire dominant thing got old pretty quickly for me. I honestly thought Gabby was in an abusive relationship with that first chapter. Although, when you think about it, the relationship was pretty toxic.

++++++5 Bewildering stars!!!!++++++
This book sucked me in right from the start. The writing style was addictive. The characters were mysterious and layered.
Gabriella is living the perfect life; two kids, a husband that provides for her and a house. But her happiness is not real. When a chance meeting with her long lost twin sister gets her life out of the tight routine she has to follow, everything changes.
One ride. A few moments of happiness, an accident and then darkness. Suffering from amnesia after the accident, she has no recollection of her life. She only remembers her name and her sister, Izzy. As she is forced to go back to a family she doesn't remember, she finds it unbelievable that she is married to a man like Paxton Pierce. He is cruel and vindictive. He believes he owns her. He treats her like property. He is a monster. But Gabby doesn't want that life and she is determined to remember and find out why she feels like a stranger in her own home. She wants to see behind Paxton's façade. She wants to know why their marriage was like a contract of ownership. She wants to break his ridiculous rules.
When feelings get in the way though, everything is changed. Can there be more to her husband than what meets the eye?
I loved how original the story was. It is unique and the writing engaging. If you want a book that can transfix you and intrigue you at the same time, then do not miss this. Cannot wait for Slut.
Excellent work.

I wish there was more to this because I never wanted the story to end and I read it in a day! This story was awesome and totally messes with your head but it is so much fun at the same time! I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of read I'm glad I got to experience it myself!
