Playboy turned single father turned boy obsessed? Yes, please.

This was simply ok. I figured after the first few chapters that I wouldn’t love it. And that remained the case. Despite both characters being in their 30s, both came across immature.
The plus was the connection of previous characters to this story. I remember Mia and CoCo. So it was nice getting an update on them.
While my interest is slightly peaked to learn more about Maren- but right now I may need to take a break.
So not a horrible story, but definitely not my favorite from this author. Just meh 😏

This was a cute read. Nate is a playboy divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in love and marriage. Emme is forever looking for her HEA. They are neighbors and friends and have never crossed the line (though both find the other attractive, they haven’t acted on it). When a baby is suddenly dropped off on Nate’s doorstep with a note that she’s his, he begins to spiral but Emme quickly helps him realize that even though this wasn’t his plan, he can do this. Nate had a lot of past trauma that he never truly faced and that caused some issues when they started dating. I did really like his grovel when he realized he fucked up.

DNF - Not rating. I made it through half and it was mostly about teaching the guy how to raise a baby that literally was dropped off at his door. Boring.

Solid 4 stars!
Friends to lovers tropes are my bread and butter, but add baby momma drama and I'm ded.
This was the light and fluffy read I needed. Even though the back-in-forth annoyed me just a tiny bit.
I'm excited for Only Him.

More of a 3.5 ⭐️ read but I like the author so I’m inclined to round up. I usually a sucker for single dad romances and while I liked this I felt like the only reason Nate and Emme’s relationship went from friends to lovers was because of her helping him navigate caring for his daughter. There were some cute moments between Nate and his daughter and Nate and Emme but everything felt very surface level and issues resolved too easily.

Made me laugh a couple of times but otherwise it was predictable. Or I've read too many similar books...
