"God save us from the well intentioned"
Dirty Groom introduced another great Slayer, Liam Diesel. It started with a chance meeting of Liam and Stormy in Vegas on Christmas Eve, both having run from their broken hearts to make a pact with each other. They would marry each other so that they will never have their hearts broken again. Seemed like a great plan, until the next day when Stormy runs off and they don't see each other until the next Christmas Eve.

The story continues with them deciding to stay married so that people will stop trying to fix them up with others or exs. They get to know each other but agree they are on the "same page" they are not to fall in love. Naturally they choose to fight their true feelings and continue on the "same page" until Liam's past comes back and tears apart that page.

I loved seeing past Slayer players and future (hopefully) Slayer players give Liam advice on how he can fix his marriage with Stormy. It is always fun to hear from previous book characters and how they learned from their mistakes and were able to help Liam.

In the end, Liam and Stormy were always on the "same page" it just turned out that the page was falling in love.

So Vaughn is still my favorite, but Liam may be a close second, even though there were times that I wanted to slap both of them for being so ridiculously stubborn. But damn, Liam is adorable. And fake marriage is quickly becoming a fave trope.

This is my first book by Mira Lynn Kelly and will definitely not be my last!

Stormy and Liam get married in Vegas, as you do, after only knowing each other for hours. They adds both struggling in their love life and decided to just take the dive. They would always have this marriage, even if they wouldn’t be together.

A year later Liam finds Stormy and they start to get to know each other for real. To appease their families and stop them from butting into their live life, they decide to stay married for 2 years and fake it. During that time, they both fall harder and deeper in love with each other.

Liam has a terrible ex girlfriend who is threatening their relationship. Will they be able to withstand his ex or will they need to move up their divorce by a couple of years?

This couple was absolutely adorable and I loved how they did everything backwards. We got to see and feel them fall in love while they were already married. I think I just wanted more of their Vegas backstory - we barely got any insight into what happened that day!

Dirty Groom is the sixth romance in the Slayers Hockey series and has the perfect mix of fake marriage, love and divorce. When Stormy and Liam see each other, after a year of no contact, things develop between them quickly and the once strategic marriage could become more.

I loved this book from the first page! The characters are enjoyable, the romance is steamy and the whole marriage storyline was very well done. I am a huge fan of sports romances, especially hockey, which made this book that much better. I really did enjoy this book and found it hard to put down. I would definitely recommend this to sports romance fans! This was a great read!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook version of this book!

Stormy and Liam meet in Las Vegas after they both are running from the pain of betrayal, and it is like both see each other’s pain and agree to help each other forget. What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay there, yet when Liam finally sees Stormy again, he can’t just let her slip away. What they had planned to do was get a simple and quiet divorce without anyone ever finding out about their night in Vegas, but fate has other plans and things start to snowball for them. Liam and Stormy both with heartache fit so well together and the more time they are together the more their feelings become real. Throw in some steamy moments, funny banter, and an eccentric brother-in-law to be with Noel and you have the perfect hockey romance. I laughed and swooned and at other times my heart hurt with them, but ultimately fate has a way of making things work out.

Meh. I was confused by their random reintroduction and their chemistry lacked. I got more from the sister and her instalove side plot than I did the mcs.

We are introduced to Liam and Stormy in “Dirty Christmas”, which is a cute novella about Liam’s co-worker Noel meeting Stormy’s sister Misty and having an instalove Christmas together. How do they meet? Well, Liam “carjacks” Noel’s car because he sees Stormy for the first time in a year. She freaks out and runs, so he follows her. Because when they meet exactly one year ago, on Christmas Eve in Vegas? Yeah, they got married and then she also ran from him.

Liam doesn’t want to have a relationship. Ever. He’s got some serious baggage from a past relationship and massive issues with his family. Stormy was literally going to be married on the same day she met and married Liam, but caught her fiancé cheating on her. Stormy also doesn’t want to have a relationship. They each tell NO ONE about the wedding…not even Stormy’s sister.

When they are forced to be part of each other’s lives due to Noel and Misty’s fast-tracked relationship, they both begin to blur the lines they thought were dredged in stone. Both are in denial about their feelings for one another. Their chemistry is off the charts, and I loved the conversations they had.

Liam might be my favorite Slayer yet! His ability to support Stormy, even when they were apart, was extraordinary. His main goal is to protect her. Protect her from pick bunnies, gossip sites, fans, an extremely jealous ex (on both sides), and maybe even protect her from himself. Will he realize that he loves her and she’s worth the fight? Can Stormy convince him they are stronger together than apart? Such an amazing story, and I’m already looking forward to Bowie and Piper’s book next!
